There's nothing more that I would like than to see BN succeed. But I feel like he won't until he hires an OC and moves into a full GM role. The Chicago Bears just fired their OC (Shane Waldron) and some of the players are starting to come out and say why they thought they couldn't succeed with him as the OC. The similarities are striking to Napier IMHO. This article says it all. Definitely worth the short read and would love to hear everyone's thoughts. ****Side note- haven't posted on here in awhile, but have been lurking/reading the whole time Bears' wide receivers detail Shane Waldron firing: 'He was too nice of a guy'
have we been turning over analyst, because that is another aspect -- those 30-40 people are a waste of resources.
Is it just coincidence that the program seems to lack agility after adding a bunch of bureaucratic bloat?
We've shown improvement as the season has progressed though. Now I don't have any real world data to point to which illustrates that improvement, but you can just feel it..
As a Bears and Gators fan my weekends have been absolutely brutal for years when it comes to offense.
I can see why you are so negative about our future prospects., But being a Bears and Gators fan, you have to realize that the problem is much bigger than the coach. Success or lack of is directly tied to the decision makers, the admin in our case and the front office in the case of the Bears. Like I said, best to keep the coach and let things play out next year. If it goes the way you think, by that time we should have a new Pres, and maybe with a new admin, we will be set on a good course. In the meantime, you, I or your buddy Okeechobbeee are not decision makers.. We are just meager fans. So i choose to be positive.. until if and when a change is made, and then support whoever our coach is.
Its easier to win at tge little table and its whstever. Get up with the big boys if you want to really do it.
Not necessarily true.... Just need to win one of the LSU/Ole Miss games, then FSU. End the season 6-6, then win the bowl game! It really comes down to this weekend. Lose against LSU, and that dream is pretty much dead.
Health is the key. Having 3 CB's out again for LSU worries me. LSU is not Texas, but they don't need to be. Hopefully we have some players step up... again! Also, I'm assuming DJ will be back. I can't imagine the spread the way it is if Vegas though DJ would be out.
LSU's dream is still alive, if the next 3 weeks go as expected and if Georgia beats Tenn, South carolina beats Mizzou and Arkansas beats Mizzou Nov 29/30, LSU finishes 2nd in the league and makes the sec title game. I expect LSU to come out swinging, a loss for LSU would be terrible for Kelly, i expect them to be on fire after that beat down by bama SEC standings configurator. https://bball.notnothing.net/bracket.php?conf=secfb
For those against hiring Kiffin because he could eventually bolt for the NFL, how is that even a legitimate concern? Very few college head coaches get that opportunity, especially those who already flamed out as an NFL HC. Even guys like Harbaugh, who had tremendous success in the NFL, are lucky to ever get another chance at that level once they go back to college. It took him years of trying to finally get another NFL gig, despite all the success he had at Michigan.
