Rubio was actually a pleasant surprise. He is qualified. I expected far worse. And unfortunately, we're now seeing the far worse emerge.
Well I know it's hard logic for you to follow, but sometimes innocent people are found guilty. That doesn't mean innocent people are always found guilty.
Who's consistent on the idea that the US justice system is batting 1.000 or 0.00, or literally who even thinks that at all
Being a bronze star recipient, 20 years in the military with highest rank of major, and Ivy educated also doens't make a person qualified to be secretary of defense.
Wow, just wow. Being a fry cook at McDonald's might be great experience, you don't just elevate that guy to CEO of the company.
No they don't. They just don't care. The American populace, from Day 1 of our great country's inception, has always been ok with immoral or even illegal activities and unconcerned with merit, as long as it's to their advantage. (Almost every original landowner in the American colonies was given that vast track of land by the King of England, certainly not merit-based.) That is how you get slavery codified into law and another 100 years of Jim Crow, with politicians actually campaigning on and trumpeting (word chosen purposely) phrases such as "Segregation Now, Segregation Forevuh!" And that is why no one ever complains when an unqualified white male gets a position. We're ok with it and always have been. Anyway, I already know this will not lead to any productive conversations, so I will save my keystrokes. But this election didn't prove anything we didn't already know: Americans (both men and women) want a MALE President and they will go to any lengths to contort their rationalizations to support that notion. If the woman is unattractive and competetent, she's a B or evil. If she is attractive and competent, she's a Ho or DEI. There will always be some form of justification. And that's fine (I guess), just be honest about it.
So your position is that Kamala did not sleep her way into politics and didn't get 'DEI' treatment to get into law school and be selected as VP?
That is exactly my position. It takes an extremely simple mind to believe that someone (anyone) can graduate from college, law school, become a successful prosecuting attorney, AG, and Senator without some form of intelligence, ingenuity, competence, and work-ethic. But it is only DEI or whoring when it's someone that doesn't look like you. Sad.
It's just racism. Black people can't achieve anything on their own. They only reach high level positions because of DEI.
It kind of hurts your case when Biden says he's going to pick a woman of color, then he picks a woman of color and, when she runs on her own, she gets clobbered by a guy who is widely hated.
Got it! People of color only fail because of 'racism'? Is that anything like Trump only lost in 2020 because of democrat cheating?
She was a sitting senator who also had years of experience as the AG of the largest state in the nation. She was far more qualified than Trump's VP pick.
Don't respond to my post or any future posts if you are only aiming to insight and have no intention of being intellectually honest. I never said people of color only fail because of racism nor was that implied. In fact, I don't believe she has failed at all. Not winning the election for the US presidency is not a failure, certainly not in my eyes. The voters chose another candidate, simple as that. Honestly, I don't think there is anything she could have done to win. You gotta give the people what they want. And the people want a man. C'est la vie. It is what it is. I just wish people would admit it and state it plainly instead of making up BS like she laughs too much, or she can't speak, or she's too woke, or she's not qualified. Conversely, it is you who believe that people of color cannot reach lofty accomplishments or surpass their white male colleagues. If they become high achievers, like Kamala Harris, they didn't really earn it. It was only because of DEI or whoring. Again, sad.
This is actually true. I still think he's a lightweight for the job, but to pretend he has no military experience is beyond misleading.
A little clarification. 1. It was the economy. People aren't even thinking this deep (don't want a woman). They just want their eggs and milk to go back to 2016 prices (not happening). At least those who made the difference in this election. 2. The original land owners were few and far between. Most of us came from indentured servants, who did their time and were rewarded with land and/or money. Niall Ferguson does a great job of explaining this in his Civilization book/documentary. Even goes to Charleston where you can still find the contracts and shows you one where the guy signs up for 10 years service and gets 100 acres in TN as his compensation.
