    You honestly find that funny? This is how adults evaluate potential investments... we look at fundamentals.

    I wish I had that "fools" money. He's only worth north of $280 billion.

    Sure, he's got a lot of money and he's built some very successful companies (with a lot of help from the government). But he's a fool now. It's sad to see people go crazy. Howard Hughes was the richest man in the world too. Then he went bonkers. Lot of similarities there.

    America needs more fools then.
    • More people that can send Americans into space and to the ISS when the US government has to contract with the Russians to get Americans there and back;
    • Boring company where they build tunnels to provide transportation between two points in America's cities;
    • Create Neuralink, a company’s whose main goal is to create brain implants that can communicate with phones and computers as well as help people with paralysis regain independence,
    • Tesla....

    Sane rational people don't claim they can cut $2 trillion from the federal budget. Do you think he will be able to do that?

    I don't know, but wouldn't you agree that we are spending too much? I would think anyone would want to get rid of wasteful spending and frankly we need to tighten our belts. But I'm sure if he "only" cuts 1.7 Trillion you will be first to claim he lied and failed LOL. We can count on your far leftism to never leave you.

    I'm sure cuts can be made here and there, but cutting $1.7 trillion is nearly as insane as $2 trillion. Won't happen unless they want to tank the economy. Claiming you can do it is nuts, but then Elon is nuts.

    So where do you figure Musk is going to find 2 trillion to cut from the budget?

    Hopefully cuts from across the board. We need to tighten our belt. Everything should be on the table. And I never said he would cut 2 Trillion, so that isn't a question for me. But keep doubting the guy who is going to take humans to Mars...

    Across the board, so you figure 30% cuts to defense, SS, medicare. Don't think you're going to get it.

    We shall see. And this would probably be better debated in the other DOGE thread.

    Sure. I'll move it there. I really want to see where folks think Elon is going to find $2 trillion to cut out of a $6.5 trillion budget.
