Not really. Your post insinuated that the Alligator was part of UF. Of course, it's primary focus is UF, but it is not associated with the University of Florida.

I do not think an affair is grounds for dismissal or violates any morals clause (certainly hasn't stopped many of our Presidents from serving). An affair with a student might be different? However, stalking and sending raunchy pictures to a student definitely would be (to me at least). Need to wait and see what actual behavior was before forgiving or condemning.

Totally agree. It seems politicians and preachers / priests make a habit of "affairs", sadly often of the "underage" variety.
And I have resigned myself to "wait and see", frankly I have enjoyed Goldens tenure as coach, the team he has put together this year and I hope facts emerge that will exonerate him, or be such that UF will still retain him. Until then, I am reserving any further opinion.

GC does have some legal eagles for sure.
Me, I was just a 3A bencher at Crestview back in the day. (Think Tom Hammonds, or in the UF sphere, the Lawrence Brothers)

That's a coincidence cause Glenn Close's character made Michael Douglas's character lose his pants too.

remember in the 90s (I believe it was) when they said there were more law students in law school than practicing lawyers? Guess we know what happened to some of them

as an aside, the Miles Davis autobiography is one of the best I've ever read. The man had an incredible life. I actually own one of his limited edition prints. His doctor said because of his heroine and women addiction, that he should take up something else to focus his mind on, so he took up painting. He's actually quite good. The piece I have is very, very Miles Davis. I love it.

Back to Golden - I did notice in watching the game and it could have been his clothes, but he did look thinner than usual and his eyes did have noticeable bags under them. I'm sure this going public has taken quite a toll on him, understandably.

Setting aside outcomes, how long do we think this situation lives in public limbo? Until tomorrow? Next week? End of season?

Interesting that the broadcast didnt mention it and the media seems relatively quiet about a major program coach in such circumstances.

Could this go kinda quiet and drag on for a time? Will opposing fans force more attention? How long can this investigation take given its already a couple months old?

I know this isn't really answerable. It's all just so unbelievable in either direction.

I think the first test will be this Friday in Tallahassee. If they come out with signs and chants we might be in for a long season. If not, then it might not be too terrible for too long, as long as new info doesn't come out. Time will soon tell.

I have no idea how long something like this is supposed to take. Courtroom stuff can take forever due to scheduling of arraignments, discovery, depositions, hearings, trials, sentencing, etc. A Title IX case (is it even a "case"?) is all about interviews and evidence. It would seem that it should be wrapped up within a month or two from the start, but it's already been that long.
