not Union. Was based on prevailing wage and apprenticeship rules to get multiplier for credits. The idea is sound — trade development for middle class males who need jobs. Instead Harris fumbled and couldn’t sell herself out of a paper bag. Biden did something tangible.

In my opinion, I think you guys are wrong. I think Musk is just a weirdo that seeks praise as much as Donald. I dont think his flip from liberal to conservative has anything to do with finances, or his companies, but more with his personal desires. Why would anyone echo so much disinformation and sully their name to get in bed with the Maga movement otherwise? No way its a financial con. Has to be an attempt to elbow into the worship level of Trump.

Impossible to know. I think he transitioned in parallel to his daughter’s transition. He wants to forward his seed. He must have some concerns how he produced a divergent.

That actually helps TSLA and is likely a reason TSLA stock has risen so much more than other automakers. TSLA doesn't really need the tax credits to sell EVs. GM and Ford do. It'll end up giving TSLA more market share.

Why does TSLA not need the tax credits as opposed to Ford and GM?

I think ultimately it won't end well for Musk. Two massively narcissistic assholes working together. What could go wrong?

“Tesla doesn’t need the subsidies in order to sell vehicles, in our view,” Nelson says. “We don’t think a lot of EV buyers are buying Tesla because of the tax credit. But other non-Tesla EVs are really hurt by it—that EV tax credit really factors much more into the purchase decision. Tesla has the more established brand, they have the stronger brand value, and a very dedicated following of customers relative to other automakers.”

Other car companies are struggling to make money on EVs. Ford reported earlier this year that it was losing money as it invested in R&D for electric vehicles while selling fewer than expected. Even before the election, many car companies were slowing down their plans for rolling out EVs. The loss of the tax credit would be a major blow. But Tesla is already profitable, and its market share would likely grow. (After the election, the company’s stock also surged because it’s now expected to get quick regulatory approval for its fully self-driving vehicles, including robotaxis.)

I felt like Elon's shift started during Covid when Elon said it was going to be nothing and got mocked online. He seemed to focus on anti-wokeness around the time that he and his company were accused of some things. He's been very publicly mad about his daughter being trans. At some point, he became so hateful of Democrats that he was laughing at and floating conspiracy theories about the attack on Pelosi's husband.

You got called out for saying the exact opposite things in two different debates, depending on the side of the debate you were on. That's known as being two-faced. Why not just show some integrity, man up, and say 'my bad'? Everyone would have way more respect for you if you did.

I would say it's priced at $350 a share. I seriously question whether it's truly "worth" that.

TSLA stock price is seriously disconnected from the fundamentals of making/selling vehicles. I saw something yesterday that TSLA's market cap is nearly as large as the rest of the world's auto industry. Think about that for a moment. It's becoming the latest meme stock, completely independent of the company's fundamentals...

Look at it this way... with TSLA market cap at just over $1 TRILLION dollars today.... that's about the same as all of these global companies combined: Toyota, BYD, Xiamo, Ferrari, GM, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, BMW, Ford, Suzuki, Honda, Mahindra, Tata, Stellantis, and Hyundai.

TSLA's earnings last year were under $9B. Those other companies with similar market cap earned a combined $175B. Meme trading, gambling, call it what you want. I don't think there's any reasonable growth projection that allows TSLA to earn the valuation they're sitting on right now. And I say that as someone with a small % of TSLA in my holdings via index funds...

I am not going to say my bad for you not understanding what I wrote. I'd suggest you take a step back because you are looking more and more foolish but if you want to keep looking like a fool then go ahead and knock yourself out. We all get you are upset about the election but just making stuff makes you look even worse. Maybe take a long walk. It might help you.

Damn, you're having a really bad day in 2 different threads, directly contradicting yourself in both. My advice to you is to shut it down for the day and come back tomorrow. Get some sleep and come back fresh tomorrow.

Yeah TSLA has a PE ratio around 95. Ford has a PE ratio around 6. The TSLA price isn't rational. And Elon Musk isn't a rational human being. I'm not buying any TSLA.

Sure, it's me who needs the day off. You've had a rough 7 days Skippy. Take a long walk. It will help. If not, maybe talk to a therapist. They can help. You aren't alone in this.
