Did the Germans bomb Pearl Harbor before or after Japan bombed it?

It’s an old movie, before my time really, but that quote is infamous. It’s a meathead trying to rally the troops.

I’ve seen parts of the movie, notably the toga party scenes, which were hilarious. I think it might Belushi’s swan song as far as movie humor.
What I failed to see sounds like a funny scene!

Ha! Then you have whatever dreadful bowl game in Shreveport, La; not sure if it’s still being played. The networks would play up some obscure bowl game in some obscure city with terrible weather. The tv telecast would never pan the stadium for fear of showing all of the empty seats. Sometimes, they would pan to a very small group of hapless fans feigning happiness mugging for the camera.

The UF run stats against TX are deceptive, it was 42-0 at one point for all the good the run stats did the Gators. While I'm glad UF did not get "skunked", thats a pretty low damn standard for Jesse and the announcers to be talking about. As low as it gets. UF got some garbage yards when the game was long over. I'm glad they didn't quit and got 17 to finish but again, "locker room culture" only gets coach so many brownie points when you lose by 32, and it's 42-0 in the third.

Now to address your point, no LSU does not have a "great" run defense but it is servicable. UF is completely HELPLESS in the passing game and on offense in general under Aiden, you and I both know LSU will stuff the box, stuff the run, and rack up plenty of points because they DO have a good QB and a decent offense.

IMO the only question is how much LSU beats the Vegas line and whips UF, to send this once proud program into yet another 7 loss season (or worse) after Ole Miss pounds the Gators. If Mertz or DJL were playing I would give the Gators a fighting chance against LSU, but I don't see it. The only question is could DJL be ready against FSU, Napier should take a pass on even considering playing DJL against Ole Miss, they have a terrific pass rush / front 7 , DJL will get eaten alive by that front and will potentially get hurt again by that group.

The only question is could DJL be ready for FSU, of course by then, UF will be 4 and 7 with no hope for a bowl and will be facing a 1-10 or 2 - 9 FSU club. I guess we could call this the "Shame Game Playoff".

I have absolute full confidence Florida will win against LSU if DJ plays. LSU is imploding with players making business decisions not wanting to tackle. There is more reason for optimism for Florida with a DJ led team.

It would be some sort of poetry if Florida reaches a bowl game and gets paired with Georgia Tech, who then could run the table on Florida's big 3 schools :(

I must have missed something. DJL is out for LSU? Your post says the only question is could DJL be ready for FSU, which strongly implies he won't be ready this weekend? Any clarity on this will be appreciated

I cannot clarify other than CBN's presser from yesterday that was non-committal on DJL playing Saturday, he only suggested DJL "felt better". For me thats coach speak, anyway CBN has made it clear in the past he will say NOTHING about any players status off injury until the required Wednesday report. Nor does that mean anything anyway, you may expect "questionable" on Wednesday.

I am not a doctor or a soothsayer, but if you listen to players that have experienced "hammys" they all say 4 to 6 weeks to return (more like 6 in most cases) and thats best case scenerios. DJL will be two weeks going into LSU, you do the math.

wasn’t the blue gray game players from teams who didn’t make a bowl? So, like a non all star all star game.

so, in a year like last year, some UF players would’ve been in a bowl. I would watch that. Maybe it was only seniors. I can’t remember. While I watched it it was mostly just on in the background.

Yes, believe you are right. While I really want UF players to excel in any post season games to enhance their chances of playing in the NFL, personally I probably wouldn’t watch these games. That’s just me. I’m about footballed out at this point in the season.

He said they worked him out Monday morning and felt good about it and that he would be practicing. Too bad we don't know if he's full speed and taking all the first team reps each day this week.
