Ukraine sends 13 drones into a Russian chemical plant in Tula (120 miles south of Moscow) that made explosives. An orange cloud (most likely nitrous oxides) can be seen in the drone photo.

120 miles...how far can a chemical cloud carry?

hard to wrap my mind around how close that is to Moscow. Would be like bombing Miami for me in SW Fl

Putin will claim this as a chemical attack if the cloud causes civilian casualties and djt will want Z arrested and prosecuted for war crimes

Ukraine needs the manpower. Anything that can be done to provide support that allows those people to rotate forward will be helpful. They really need a big push to enrage Ukrainians about all the war crimes and get their enlistments up. too many ukranians are going about their lives and ready to forget about the rapes, murders, torture beset upon their countrymen

A large inorganic chemical cloud might carry 3-5 miles or so at the most before it dissipates. I worked at a plant that occasionally had nitrous oxide releases (probably much smaller than this one), and it was only unpleasant within a half mile or less. It forms acids when it hits the moisture in your throat and eyes. You have to be in the plant to be a casualty, basically.

Only a moron believes that Putin is an unhinged madman. (It could just be someone working for the Kremlin trying to scare people.) Putin is very hinged. He is counting on Americans to do stupid things like try to save a few billion dollars on weapons assistance, only to spend trillions of dollars later to develop more advanced technology to counter a more powerful Russia with new territory and resources. Someone completely committed to his "cause" would not live in multi-million dollar palaces. Osama bin Laden was completely committed to his cause, and if he had a red button, he would point his missiles at someone and fire them.

Putin has no interest in getting into any kind of fight with the U.S. or NATO. Sometimes he needs to be reminded of how scared he is.

50k is major force. would seem to present some ripe targets if they are gathered together in those numbers. time to unleash some long range weapons on russian soil? to hell with deterrence, it is now trump's probelm

and djt putting Musk on the call with Z was straight up intimidation. Musk cuts or has tech problems with starlink, Ukraine loses coms. Musk will blow djt any way he wants it right now as he eyes major increases in gubmnt contracts and grants, less regulation, and even bigger tax breaks and tariffs on any competition

U.S. Intelligence Suggests Russia Prepares Major Offensive with 50,000 Troops

Russia has amassed 50,000 troops, including North Korean soldiers, in preparation for a large-scale offensive to reclaim territory in the Kursk region from Ukrainian force

American and Ukrainian officials, cited by The New York Times, report that this offensive is expected soon.

U.S. intelligence assessments indicate that Russia has reinforced this force without reallocating soldiers from eastern Ukraine, allowing Moscow to operate on multiple fronts. Russian troops have regained some areas previously captured by Ukrainian forces in Kursk, with ongoing artillery and missile strikes, although no full-scale assault has begun, according to Hotnews.

North Korean soldiers, estimated at over 10,000, have joined Russian troops and are reportedly training in western Kursk. Sources indicate that North Korean troops have been issued Russian uniforms and equipment, though they are likely to fight as distinct units. Russia has provided them with sniper rifles, anti-tank missiles, and grenade launchers, preparing them for potential front-line engagement.

Ukraine will be on its own after January. I fully expect Trump to keep his word on yanking any further US aid. Europe will also need to step up.

All i can do at this point is cross my fingers and hope trump comes through, even if it’s by accident, with some kind of exit for Ukraine that is somewhat palatable.

I was referring to someone else who was spouting Russian propaganda, however.

Did not see this commented on here...

President-elect Donald Trump reportedly advised Russian President Vladimir Putin not to escalate the war in Ukraine in a phone call the day after the presidential election, a new report says.

As one of his first orders of unofficial business as the president-elect, Trump spoke with Putin on Thursday in a telephone conversation that he took from his home in Florida, sources familiar with the matter told The Washington Post.

He allegedly asked the Russian president not to escalate his war and reminded him of the U.S.’s military presence in Europe.

define somewhat palatable? Russia gets to keep what they have and US will not pursue war crimes and agrees to drop sanctions while Ukraine will be barred from NATO? is that somewhat palatable to you? I wouldn't be surprised to see djt try and force that on Ukraine
