Let's call this what it is. A nightmare that we can't escape from anytime soon. We're doing our best to try and find our way out, but we still have more trauma to endure. It is what it is.
I don’t see Stricklin surviving, especially after the Golden stuff came about. It’s just a matter of time until all three (SS, Golden, Napier) are gone. Hopefully it all goes down sooner rather than later
By putting out that statement, Stricklin tied his own fate to Napier's. Golden aside, if Napier flops, SS is going down with him. Zero question about that.
Rumor is that was part of Stricklebaum's vote of confidence.Billy had to agree to this or the letter never went public. Thats what I am hearing.
I can't buy it, because that makes no sense. The "rumor" you refer to is basically saying Stricklin coerced Napier by threat of staying mum if he didn't agree to delegate more authority. If your boss ever has to threaten you with something like that to get you to do things you should clearly already be doing, that speaks to one of two things: either Stricklin is a total chump as an AD or Napier knows he has SS by the sac and doesn't care if he gets fired or not. Frankly, the take isn't believable. In what other profession do bosses and their subordinates interact in this way? Has it happened before? I am sure it has, but it's extremely unprofessional and I'd just be really surprised if that's what's happening here.
Only a DA like Strickleheimer would think that this would do any good at all at this late juncture. Its purely about keeping his own paycheck for as long as possible at this point. Isn't about time we get a Gator back in charge of our athletic dept instead of some inbred Mississippi-level educated incompetent? At least we would know they love UF and its not 100% about money.
I think you absolutely could fill the damn job if people were incentivized to do so. None of what you're saying inherently has to take forever. Regardless, not gonna make much of an impact relative to football at this point so whatever.
With the lack of anything official that seems like real criticism from Stricklin, any rumors of what Billy is being forced to change sound very much like they come from a guy who knows a kid who's going with the girl who saw him pass out at 31 Flavors last night.
Nobody is crapping on Cignetti. Kiffin is a completely different entity. The two should not be confused
I don’t think it’s that he can’t act but more that a coach we tried to get might be hesitant to come if he doesn’t know who will ultimately be his boss
The AD does not want to pay the 28 mil and BN has the built in excuses of two starting QB's going down and of now playing a WO QB who is in no way ready to see the field. Maybe this is why Miller is not playing as well.... Just a hunch. I feel bad for the defense, because they were balling before all these injuries. They are going to get shredded over the next two weeks and will play the majority of the game chasing wide open receivers, since our offense is currently a 3 and out offense.
Nah, I get notifications saying my posts are limited in exposure and I only signed up after Elon bought that turd.
He probably knows his fate is tied to CBN. That is, if he fires Napier, it's an indictment of himself, so he has no choice but to ride it out as long as he can in the hopes of a miracle turnaround by Napier. SS is like the QB flinging up a hailmary to the endzone as he's being pushed out of bounds by a 300-pound DL.
