Maybe, but as a fan how does reality help you ? You are probably not in a position to influence the decision. So how does reality help you feel better? Also realize, that in the current environment rebuilds are harder and easier. By that I mean, when a coach is fired its open season on your roster. Rebuilding through the portal helps, but you need good players available to contribute to the rebuild. There is no guarantee of that. One thing Napier has done is to improve talent level. The best case outcome for UF is to hope that continues successfully and yields wins.
You must not follow recruiting. The available talent has apparently assessed the situation and decided to pass on the Billy "rebuild." Classes that rank 15 out of 16 SEC teams won't improve the talent level and I think we've already seen what the current talent level can achieve: a 4-5 record and being in the bottom quartile of the SEC.
Aside from a few good players this notion of improved talent is funny to me. That talent keeps losing. That young talent was on the field against Texas. They looked real competitive.
I think the talent is "adequate", but they are not being coached up right. Going forward, the talent is not going to be adequate, as new recruits are voting with their feet.
Milrose ran all over the LSU defense and the announcers mentioned their struggles against running QBs. Therefore I fully expect us to try to pass the ball all over the field against them.
I'm surprised the spread is +4.5 points. That seems like a bargain, if I was a betting man. I think most of that is based on how LSU played against Alabama, but I think Alabama is a lot better than people are giving credit for.
We made a deal with the devil somewhere along the line. I think I’ve got an idea who that might have been, but I shall not say, but we did. Nobody gets hit with a kind of stuff that the universe of Florida has got this is almost crazy well, yes, it is crazy. I’m ready for it to be someone else’s term. Why does Georgia Bama Tennessee even Miami get all these breaks yet we get stuck with a schedule ,bad issues. And me also a jaguar fan you can’t make this up. Life is great thank God for Golf.
Call me crazy , but I thought we had no chance against Texas but, I think we might be able to run the ball on LSU.
If we can't throw the ball we won't be able to run it. Aginst good teams you have to have balance. LSU will pack the box and force our QB to prove they can complete passes downfield. If we can't complete passes we won;t be able to run.
I think just psychologically ending the year with a winning record would be huge for our program and players. Reality is sounds like Napier is staying so might as well try to build some momentum into the offseason and next season.
We had no chance against Texas. And that’s what happened. They blew us out. Could’ve easily been 56 points surrendered What does that have to do with your post. Dont get it.
And when it was 42-0 I lost it and got kicked off the thread because I said fire everybody. I can't believe how low the football program has sunk. No chance UF beats LSU or Ole Miss, NONE. Not with Aiden, and I'm not blaming the kid, it's completely unfair for him to be in this position. Even if Lagway was healthy, given all the other injuries, I doubt we win. Coin toss against FSU. Another 5 - 7 year at best. Last 4 years: 5-7. 6-7, 5-7, and soon to be 4-8 or 5-7.
We were so busy blah blah blahing about CBN we hardly discussed what we did in the game. I'm flabbergasted we played so much zone against TEX while Ewers picked us apart. Cormani, who IMO is going to be a superstar if he keeps his head on straight, was lost in zone. One thing we know he can do very well is play man. Decisions like this magnified all our defects. I don't have a clue as to what we are going to do. The constants in my mind is it seems like we are screwed and powerless to do anything re this situation. I hope that somehow CBN can get these guys back in serious mindset, some of our injured players come back, and we somehow beat the corndogs. Anyone know how long Badger will be out? I wouldn't mind this 3-4 year cycle weve been in for the past 14 or so years if at least we had some success in year 2-3 This time around it seems we have hit a new low.
The zone indicated the strategy might have been "okay, we're going to lose. Let's play a prevent zone to minimize the carnage."
@ 4:54 Edgar asked Billy if he considered trying, kicking the tires on Clay Millen during the game Saturday: Billy says "no, no…it wasn't necessary Aidan just as much as in general I think we can play better around him at times...it is what it is at that point, you can only get so many people ready to play."
