How many were on their third quarterback? What part of that don't you understand? And yes, we still suck.
How many of them have a third QB who's a freshman from Yale? And you're just moving the goal posts. You said "full strength." That never happens anywhere.
We are talking about them having a chance to win the conference. In his second year. At a school that won 1 game before he got there.
We had all of those players healthy and playing and still got destroyed by Miami, a team that Texas is better than.
I mean if CBN has magical powers to make his top players at those positions all get injured at the same time wouldn't you think he would have at least magically given himself a winning record 1st? All joking aside, not everybody is getting hurt, and not all out for the season. Yesterday we were out Badger, which is our best WR and a huge help for a RS freshman Yale transfer QB attempting to make his 1st start against the #1 passing defense and #1 overall defense. We were also our our Franchise QB who just happened to be our 2nd starting QB to go down. The injuries are not all similar either to suggest it's something in the S&C program contributing to the injuries. Wilson went out, came back but then they determined he needed surgery (Hip), Mertz, last year collarbone, this year non contact ACL (probably the most common serious injury in CFB). Jason Marshall, i believe had never missed a game prior to the injury. Devin Moore? I mean its Moore injured is his middle name but Denson (starting star) going out, and CB2/3 J. Jackson being injured not so much injury history. Then Dijon Johnson playing very well also gets injured. Last season Pyburn tore his ACL but the same staff you are insinuating has contributed to these injuries is the same staff that has worked wonders in getting him back healthy and on the field to start the season and he's doing great. Shemar James, injured last year, doing his this out there. So to answer your question.... YES I do think it is coincidence that we have lost the top players at some very important positions. What I'm not doing is saying how much more successful we would have been had they been available but I do know it certainly wouldn't have hurt going off of the small samples size of those guys all playing together this year.
I didn't think we would beat Texas, and my post wasn't saying we should have or could have. It was a reply to a post that pointed out how lopsided the score was. And those injuries certainly contributed to the scoreboard to some degree.
The coincidence i see is it was Georgia and our boys were playing hard and hitting people. Physical games have consequences and we are on murders row.
We didnt get embarrassed vs. UGA but we went into Austin and somehow got even thinner at the positions when Badger was ruled out than a week before. Couple Ints, and 3 and out drives that lead to points before the half and poof the game was out of hand.
You are rambling and doing nothing more than attempting to hide behind the injury excuse. Good teams overcome injuries. You'll always make excuses, because that's all you have.
Right and they haven't played any of the top 5/6 teams in their conference except to the one which they lost and it looks like they will avoid them the rest of the schedule too. To me they'll be hard to determine just how good the team is if they've been fortunate to avoid the other good teams in the conference after getting beat by the sole team that is ranked. Yes I get that it's the "BIG12" which at some point was respectable but let's be honest they are more like the old pac12 now since their only two Elite teams over the last 2 or 3 decades have both left to join the SEC.
I am not disputing that the schedule favored them, I'm making a point that he is doing this at a doormat. Everyone in the Big 12 was supposed to be looking at CU as a cupcake on their schedule. Instead he is whipping them and ranked in the top 20. People act like folks are saying Deion and Colorado would wax Texas or something. This is just to point out to all the goofballs who said nonsensical stuff like "Deion can't coach" how wrong they are/were. 27-6 at Jackson St should have been enough to get that point across. Top 20 in his 2nd year at a 1 win doormat should make it more emphatic. Yet still, now it is "his schedule is weak!" lol..
You were the one who said that CBN coached those injuries into existence. Lol in different posts in this thread I said we have lost to the ranked teams and beaten the unranked teams, true or not? I acknowledged that we are obviously not top 25 caliber yet, but because of the quality of opponents in our 5 losses this year it's somewhat unclear where exactly we are after the top 25. Our lowest ranked opponent in a loss was Miami at 19th who rose to top 5 since the game 1 clash. We played Tenn to overtime but came back and dropped nearly 50 on UK who had recently beat Ole miss and just lost to UGA 13-12. The talk about injuries isn't an excuse ad to why we lost to Texas yesterday, it does greatly contribute to the lopsided score but I wouldn't have bet for us to win Vs. TEXAS IN TEXAS with their stout passing Defense Anyhow.. I would have bet that if we had lagway we wouldn't have lost by 4+ TD's. By saying it's not a great position to be in losing top 2 of each QB's, RB's, WR's and DB'S isn't a stretch. If Texas were to lose both Arch Manning and Quinn Ewers, their season would not have a bright outlook and their offense certainly would not look anything like it had.
Buffaloes DL are getting pressure on the QB, getting sacks. Their running game is coming along. Much different team than the one that faced Nebraska.
How so? The big 12 is marginally better than tge sunbelt and much further seperated from the level of the sec. Billy actually won the sunbelt.
Is Colorado really a doormat though? I know as of late they've not been great but they have a history and a Natty to their name. Theyve also won 27 conference championships. How many other big 12 and mountain west schools etc can say that? But to your point i feel he has done well too but has yet to succeed when facing a better team. We too have beaten the unranked ranked teams we've played and lost to the ranked ones yet no-one would call us good, that's all I'm saying
Double standard? Because our team that went into the UGA game was much different than the one that faced Miami the 1st game of the year. Yet I've seen that loss used against UF in this thread. Lol hell the only difference between the two is our early loss to Miami saw Miami go onto being ranked top 5, where as the Colorado loss to nebraska saw Nebraska get worse..otherwise they the same so why is that an excuse you're using?
