So you don't have a team that is also injury ridden like us that's still playing well ?

Did you ever stop to think perhaps this is a reflection on the coaching staff as well? They seem to handle just about everything pretty poorly, so I am not taking it for granted they are doing everything right in regards to keeping our players healthy. Is it merely a coincidence to you that bad things keep happening to this team under Napier's leadership? Notice how the top teams rarely have the problem I bolded above, all at one time? Either they keep their players healthy or they have backups who can get the job done.

What was Miami ranked when they came to Gainesville? I remember the narrative of the losing coach would mostly likely be the first fired. Texas AM wasn’t ranked. And on their qb2. That was a winnable game. Then there was the coaching mind freeze in Tennessee.

Who cares what they were ranked when the rankings weren't informed by better data?

If he were winning multiple championships, most would get over it but he wouldnt be a choice of most gators, likely boosters either.

Of course not. Not sure what part of I didn't expect them to win is not getting through. Winning and embarrassed are on the opposite ends of the spectrum, I at least expected something in between.

It must have been the staff that got AR injured in highschool college and both years in the pros.

You could've just posted "Billy bad" to begin with since you obviously had no point related to rankings.

The point is that the teams were not ranked when they when Florida lost to them. The fact that are ranked now is either meaningless or use the same new data to rank them to judge Napier

Any football coach will tell you a big part of their job is to keep their players on the field. It's why we spend what we do on strength and conditioning coaches, along with the training staff. A football coach and his training staff can't stop every injury, but they can mitigate some with proper management. Again, when you see almost everything else going wrong, it's no surprise we have this issue. How many games did Nick Saban play at Alabama with his two top starters at QB, RB and WR all out at the same time? 16 years, right? What about Meyer? Spurrier? How many games did Spurrier play with his top players out like that all at the same time? After a while, you begin to see it's a rare thing and it almost never happens to good coaches.

If we were at full stright , which we werent even close, maybe we at least make it interesting. Theres just no way to compete with lesser talent and Warner. Im not down on tge kid at all because he is tge best we have and hes a gator but its just an impossible situation. We are just depleted. Hopefully we are healthier for lsu and if DJ is back, we give it a good shot. No DJ and bacups at corner and we are toast.

Whether tgey were misranked or not has nothing to do with what happened on the field. If it did, we wouldn't need playoffs, we could just hand out trophies based on sportswriters opinions.

Again, who cares what they were ranked at the time? Who isn't using the new data to rank Napier?

Yeah, let's use the new data. Billy Napier is 0-5 versus ranked opponents this year.

Theres only facts. If we were at full strength, we probably lose a closer game.

They were ranked top 20 (19th) A&M was 20th. Does that help you prove nothing? My point still stands, we obviously are not a top 20 team but in a conference where our best team may just end up with 2 losses, and a schedule that had 8 top 20 teams on it. We beat the teams (so far) that we should beat and lost to the top 20 ranked teams we faced (so far) that is an improvement from previous years when we lost to unranked teams(teams we should have beat) that's improvement some would say. But it's hard to figure out where we would truly stand when playing a ranked non SEC team that has not been tested vs real teams or has lost to teams both better and worse than them. Essentially we could be just outside of the top 25 had our schedule allowed for cannibalism among the members.

Would anyone say that Colorado is a better team than say a Bama team if Bama was to end up with 3 losses to Colorado's 2? These records are so apples to oranges among teams in the top25 rankings it's truly difficult to know who is better than who because some have been battle tested and some have not.

No team is ever at full strength. What part of that don't you understand? Look at the Top 10 teams this week. They all had injuries, lots of them. "If we were at full strength" is not an intelligent conversation starter, because that never happens anywhere.
