If what you are saying is how the Democrats feel, please explain their reasons for not allowing Trump to fill the SPR when oil prices were at a historic low?

Making money isn't a sound business reason? Isn't that the entire purpose of a business?

Answering a question you cannot answer with another unrelated question. I’m not that slow. Try again.

    The government isn't a business.

That's because you can't answer the question, the reason for not allowing Trump to refill was purely political on behalf of Senate Democrats.

Okay, then the Republican Party should quit calling for it to be one or acting like a "businessman" has important experience then.

To answer your question: Democrats likely didn't want to even marginally raise the cost of gas at the exact same time as handing out money to consumers to spend on goods due to a pandemic.

Misinformation is a danger to our country. There are people who sincerely believe Biden sold off the SPR to bring gas prices down in an election year, despite the truth being easy to verify. And they make voting decisions based on the misinformation they have been consuming.

There are management practices then work in both business and government though. Let's use a former candidate as an example, Mitt Romney. He was an effective Senator and also ran the Olympics very well.

Are the Olympics a business despite them being a non-profit?

They are not government, I would classify them as a not for profit business.

Are you sure it isn't government? Aren't there usually a group of government officials on the committee?

What role does the government of a country have in organising the Games?
The three main constituent groups involved in organizing the Games are the International Olympic Committee (IOC), the National Olympic Committees (NOCs), and the International Sports Federations (IFs), not the government of the host country.

While the government of the host country has a role to play in supporting the bid of their city in hosting the Games, it does not take part in the Olympic Host Contract and does not issue the invitations to NOCs to participate. Invitations to the NOCs are issued only by the IOC.

So even in that, government still has a heavy role. I am mostly just using this to point out the hypocrisy of claiming that government should act more like a business and then complaining about it doing so and falling back on the fact that it isn't a business when it does act more like a business.

You are just embarrassing yourself now. You continue to dodge backing up your statement that lowering gas prices was political. I made no claims about adding to the reserve under Trump. You made the claim. Not me.
