I think the REAL fans, like the guy named after a lake that has 150 whiny sarcastic posts, are saying is that if Napier was a competent coach our third-string quarterback would be the third best quarterback in the sec. I suppose it’s an argument but it might lead some to consider the possibility of something else.
From 1990 to 2010 Florida won more games than any other program in the entire country and second place is Ohio State with 9 less wins. So for two decades UF was the most dominate program in the country. This is not a "lucky run". So how does a program with UF's resources go from that to middle of the road P4 team? Until someone does an actual investigation and find the CORRECT reason for this massive down grade, and find who is responsible and then the removal of said person or persons this is going to continue. These big down grades just don't happen they are created, whether it is intentional or just incompetence it was caused. Who actually made the decision to not reinvest back into the program which was giving UF everything in the 90's and 2000's? I don't believe this was Jeremy Foley's decision (only a messenger.) Is that the reason for the down fall? or something else? Is that person or persons still apart of the program? Any successful business would do this investigation and handle.
I think anyone with a brain who is a real fan knows the situation with our coach, our AD, our admin and is trying to find a way to find to keep their interest and support the team. Stating the obvious over and over doesn't help anyone.. (if they are a real fan)
Nobody ever talks about this. Spurrier had some bumps along the way, but his process took us to the top.
I agree. One thing that impresses me is that with the injuries to the first, second, and third strings, the Gators still played hard and showed some talent, skill, desire, and a never say die attitude.
Are you aware of how many first and second stringers we had at the Miami game were not able to play today? I am not saying that if we had those first and second stringers today that we would of won. However, I will state that this would of been a very close game.
Are we playing to win? Or to extend the scoring streak? It was 14-0 at that point and they had multiple shots to extend that score that Ewers missed.
Well BN got beat by UGA one year 42-20 then recovered the next to get beat 43-20 and even 34-20 the following year. Spurrier can't match that, scoring the exact same number against the same team 3 years in a row. If he coaches his full contract he has the opportunity to not only be the only coach to never beat Georgia, but to lose to them in Jacksonville, Atlanta and Tampa. Can he keep scoring exactly 20 though. And yes I was a fan back then. I was a kid with no money though so I had to sneak into the games after the ticket takers went inside during the 3rd quarter. Oh to be a kid before post 9/11 security.
Few things happened today that made my day: Georgia Lost. Actually, Ole Miss beat them, sounds better. Miami lost. Which is glorious. Indiana beat Michigan, talk about coach of the year award. Who'da thunk? We need to beat LSU. Bout had enough of their nonsense. With DJ and some other's back (hopefully) it is certainly possible. Go Gators.
