FEMA ignoring Trump Supporters?

Not all that surprising. A lot of gov't workers will be losing their jobs soon. Ridiculous that FEMA workers would obey this guy's directive until you realize the Biden-Harris administration ruthlessly punished whistle-blowers to save our democracy. They punished more whistleblowers than all previous administration's combined

Let's see, it's been what six or seven weeks since Helene made landfall? Florida's Big Bend, rural Georgia, Western South Carolina, Western North Carolina, East Tennessee ... all heavily Trump territory.
And in all that time, no one's realized that Trump supporters are being completely ignored? It took the Daily Wire, a far right site that's been known to spread a falsehood or two, to reveal it. You know, because it's got some anonymous sources.

 

That was VERY obviously written for safety reasons. We know who it was threatening FEMA workers. The advice was sound.

Edit: @gatorpa It's not "creative", the language should be very clear as to what the writer was referring to. Read it again, let me know if you need help with the language. Helpful hints: Focus on things like, "frequent breaks and water", "not (sic) one goes anywhere alone", "coconut water is a fast way to replenish electrolytes quickly." Now, does that sound like safety tips or screwing over people with Trump signs?

Those claims are not true. But ironically, Trump attempted something similar to what he falsely claims the Biden/Harris administration is doing when he was president.

Back in 2019, Trump used money from FEMA’s disaster fund for migrant programs at the southern border. In August 2019, the Trump administration told Congress it intended to shift $271 million in funding from DHS -- including $155 million from FEMA’s Disaster Relief Fund -- to pay for detaining and transporting undocumented immigrants and temporary hearing locations for asylum-seekers.

I would agree that directions were for safety reasons (in that person’s mind) but that was dumb as hell and the individual should be fired. You can’t convince me that Trump signs are a legitimate safety reason to avoid homes. That’s asinine.

Did you read the article? It was one supervisor, so it would have been in a specific area. Obviously it would have been noticed if all Trump supporters were ignored. However, it is concerning that it took so long for anyone to speak out.

Now that we know it happened, what do you think about it? What do you think about posters in this thread who are trying to justify it?

 

It may not be as presented. Like, maaaaybe the chat is real and this person is a moron. That part doesn’t seem implausible. But i doubt any Trump supporters missed out or we would have heard about it in the weeks since. This is basically just them going around knocking on doors in effected areas like canvasers.

Still seems dubious. Daily wire broke this story, AND they are the only ones to get a statement? Who from FEMA put out this statement? Why no name attached? Like… where’s the actual statement? This is a “fake newz” site so this type of skepticism is still warranted imo.
