That's clearly not the issue here.

The guy is a head coach for a major college basketball program, as well as a married man. With the position comes a expectation of certain moral and ethical behavior. Its being alledged in a title IX complaint he was stalking/Harrassing a number of female students of the University of Florida. That's a issue if I were his boss!

Not a good look for sure. I just need more info to make a judgment. We heard one side. We need to hear the other side.

Boss has to be paying attention, like in touch. If it turns out it seemed clear something was known that would be potentially devastating to the University, program and accompanying prestige and reputation, our AD should be prepared for what would have to transpire.

I dunno, stalking and sending inappropriate pics. Not the same thing as talking about girls, is it?

Yes, obviously. My comment was that its stupid to have ill prepared Universities do these kind of investigations. We have a justice system which has that role already.

I'm not sure following the law is necessarily convenient, or what they would prefer to do.

Well, yeah, I get that. But almost all employers of any size have codes of conduct expected of its employees. They address firing offenses which may not have broken any laws.

On day 1 a few years ago, someone made 2 deposits to my bank account; 1 for 18 cents and the other for 17 cents. On day 2, the cheap bastard withdrew the 35 cents. On day 3, the asshole cleaned me out of $85,000. There are a lot of bad people out there. I think that a bad person or persons did this to TG. It's really easy to do.

Lots of schools overly broaden the Student privacy act to hide things they don't want known. I'll give you a personal example: There was a couple of troubled students in my Daughter's 4th grade class that had caused all kind of havoc during the school year. Long story short one of them stole $20 that we had given my Daughter for book money out of her backpack and got caught. The first meeting with the Principal was to express our frustration with the chaos in her class and the theft. The second was for him to tell us the results. Bottom-line was the money was paid back. I didn't ask who the student was, but I did ask if there had been an appropriate punishment like a suspension or the like and the jackass wouldn't tell me because it was "against federal law" even though I didn't even know the identity of the perpetrator. And we wonder why our kids grow up not expecting consequences for wrongdoing.
