UF basketball coach accused of sexual harassment and stalking per The Alligator [See Post #521]

We need the Athens or Tallahassee press lol

 

Not trying to spread anything and we have to wait until it all plays out, but it really makes me wonder about the timing of the CBN letter by SS. Obviously they knew about this for awhile and they might have been contacted by The Alligator for any comment before they went to press. Thus SS needed some "positive" press out there before this broke. CTG has to be suspended before the next game as a minimum, pending review, unless they have good reasons to argue the allegations. And remember we have an away game in Tallahassee in 7 days. In all, the SS letter about CBN appears more like a CYA for SS than much else.

 

This is a quasi-judicial undertaking, which IMO should never be handled by any University. Its why we have a court system. I've read some horrendously egregious accounts of what Universities have done on both sides of the ledger in these so called "investigations."

I can't address "following" and "unfollowing" but my immediate question when I read the quotes was, "How does she know this?" How has she managed, in a highly confidential investigation, to not only find out about but contact and compare stories with these "numerous other women?" How could she know what had been sent to everyone? How could she know what had been said to everyone?

 

As someone with a bachelors in Criminal Justice and who did PI work for 7 years, I ditto this entire statement.

 

If it's true then SS needs to be shot out of a cannon, what the hell kind of athletic department is he running?

 

The TitleIX document that was released had a late September date on it.

 

Investigation has gone on a long time per friend at ESPN.

Following someone and unfollowing someone on instagram isn’t a crime. The bulk of that article is fluff. What’s alarming is the pics he sent if that’s true. He needs to know better than that.

 

But it says right at the beginning of the Alligator article that the UF can't comment on or even confirm a Title IX investigation without breaking Federal law.
