UF basketball coach accused of sexual harassment and stalking per The Alligator [See Post #521]

If any of it is true then things look really bad for Florida basketball to say the least. It sounds like they have been investigating this for a couple of months.

 

This is terrible. But also how incredibly dumb of him to do this to UF students!? Can Todd be this stupid?

 

Should refrain from declaring guilt without any facts. How many times have stories like this been setups or blackmail.

For me I need more facts before making any opinions.

 

Wow. We just can’t have nice things. I was hoping it was “just” an assistant or something and it wasn’t just handled well. But the head coach!?

I don’t see how he coaches another game.

Not good, but the Alligator sucks, so I am in wait and see mode.

 

Brutal if true. Really hoping this is false. Wait and see mode but if true, this is what 3 hires by SS who have similar allegations? He would have to be fired too!

Really odd. He doesn't seem to be like this, but who knows what evil lurks. How would he get the time to do all of this? Seems easily provable one way or the other.

 

There are a number of articles now posted about this. Based on the above article (and repeated for the most part verbatim on other sources) it seems like he was sending a lot of messages on Instagram, which is kind of odd. Were these alleged messaged threatening or did they continue after he was asked to stop? If not, while strange behavior for a grown man to they rise to the level of sexual harassment? These days society kind of knee jerks to this kind of thing and I sometimes wonder if it is overblown. Who knows? Either way, also referencing today's society he is likely already gone and the news just not yet announced.

 

WTF? Seems like a bad dream

We can’t have nice things

 

Article sounds pretty damning. Multiple women. Paper trail. I'm sure more women will come forward if this is true.

 

I’m not a fan of the alligator but this is way too much for anyone to say there is nothing to it . I believe he did these things . The innocent until proven guilty is usually just delayed facts .
They must bring him in and give him a chance to resign . We can fire him with cause , put an interim in , take the time to find a coach . This sentence that got my attention was the issue of “a culture of sexism “ with the coaches.
This University , with no leadership, instability for years , is an embarrassment. The Flagship University is laughable at best. Being an Alumnus, it’s sickening!
Maybe when we see other schools have issues and our fans make fun or light of them we probably should keep our damn mouth shut . Because we are next ! We are always next ! Damn this place

 

Agree. And don't slight the Alligator for publishing facts presented in the complaints. They're one of the only investigative media left.

It’s mathematically impossible to be able to select abusers at that rate from the coaching population. SS and the current UAA cannot be trusted at all.
