    Oh, my bad.

How about the guys who lie for Trump about the violent attack on our Capitol? Who voted to not impeach for a clear criminal conspiracy to overturn an election?

"I voted straight R on my ballot."

Who did I vote for that qualifies for what you said above? Who was on my NC ballot that did that?

I doubt any county commissioner or first time congressman had an impeachment vote.

Be honest...everyone here knows i supported impeachment and openly rooted for it.

My belief was someone else could take over and save the party.

    Maybe you werent here yet.

Hillary won the popular vote…. In any other democratic country she’d have been elected… I could see Haley getting elected, too, if she could win a primary. Her problem is that the party who hate women the most would have to vote for her in the primary…

Appreciate the Haley part. Don’t agree with the misogynist part.

    First off - apologies if it seems I am "going after you", when it's more that you're one of the few conservatives here worth engaging in honest discourse. That said;

    Say what?!

    1) You were for impeachment of DJT, implying that you believe him guilty of “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors” regarding January 6th. (if not more)

    2) For four years you bore witness to a "political party" that, at nearly all levels, was required to not only swear their fealty to him, but to actively lie for him.

You watched party leadership repeatedly tell outright lies to the American public in defense of Trump's conduct -which you yourself considered to be “Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors"- .........

......and you then cast votes for, if not those exact Trump enablers, then for people that would enable them, empower them, and validate their policy stances and decisions. Which include lying for Donald Trump about issues you think he should be impeached for.

You do see the disconnect, right?

There's a moral cut-off point at where most people will refuse to further advance their support. For some it's clearly being a criminal. For others racist hate-mongering. For others clear sexual assault, and for others attacking the very pillars of our democracy and country.

For others, there is no cutoff point. Even though they may say that there is.

I appreciate your words, and apologize that it sometimes gets heated.

I do feel you are moving the line.

First you say voting for Trump would be hypocritical of me.

    I agree.

So next you say voting for anyone that was against impeachment would be hypocritical of me.

    I agree.

Then you move the line to anyone who thinks their was voter fraud.

While I may not agree 100%, i did not vote for those people either.

So now the line is what?

So now you are just suggesting that even a county commissioner with an R is out of bounds?

    Look. I cant stand Trump.
I did not vote for him...twice.

I vocally rooted for his impeachment.
People here will remember the number of times that I said kick him out and hand the keys to Pence. It was almost a tagline for many of my posts.

I have been screaming about how I cant vote for a man like him and look my daughters in the eye.

I didn't vote for the Republican for governor for the same reasons.

At what point, outside of outright liberal surrender, do some of you admit that many of us are trying to approach this with honesty.

When do you guys look in the mirror and ask how even with many conservatives like me sitting out, he still beat your candidate?

It's because the "woke" stuff that you guys dismiss and ignore matters to middle America and for better or worse, your party is out of touch.

People here swore Dobbs was the end...and handed the left the White House.

    Nope.

I told anyone who would listen that abortion is actually not the main issue everyone thinks it will be.

LGBTQ/pride stuff at every turn? Thats a losing strategy too.

So people held their nose and voted against that agenda.

All the dems had to do was listen to America. This was a slam dunk that the Democrats tripped on their way to a wide open basket.

But please stop moving the goalposts.
Many of us didnt vote for the guy, but we arent voting for yours either. And it seems anything short of that is viewed as hypocritical. That is nonsense.

I wont argue there is some of that, but not enough to lose a primary in my opinion.

I think in 4 years Haley will be very viable.

I literally wrote her in as my protest vote this year. (I wrote Kasich in 2020)

Why can't Biden step down now and hand Kamala the Presidency.

    Cant?

Nothing stopping him, but he probably not feeling terribly inclined, given how shitty his own party treated him, including Kamala. She treated him like an embarrassing rely opl hide in a basement-yet for all his cognitive slippage, seems he's "with it" enough to know he got royalty robbed.

And SHE was embarrassed of HIM...

Unless he's straight up checked out, i doubt he's feeling any inclination whatsoever to so much as lift his left cheek to share some interior aromas with any of the lot.

...plus he's got some pressing bidnez to discharge in terms of pardon. He'll be needing some rock solid assurances, before delegating that, while trust issues remain lingering in the air

I actually disagree. I think Kamala could have thrown Joe under the bus on some stuff to help her own campaign but she didn't.

My wife agrees with him. She is pretty dejected over the state of women in America. I told her to shut up and get me a beer. I wonder what my bedroom looks like... been uncomfortable on the couch.

It would look good on Kamala's resume.

    DEI Vice President
    DEI Presidential Nominee
    DEI President

That's an impressive list of handouts.

    How so?

Seems to me that pretty much her only qualification for POTUS was as VP, and therefore to claim and own as much of Biden's presidency, where she served as 2nd in command. That's why the "i was the last in the room" carried weight, while "turn the page" was a a bad joke.

Recall, she did not win a primary, never served in any kind of executive capacity whatsoever, and pretty much had 2 things to campaign on: experience as VP, and "I'm not Trump"/ "Trump very scary" (the latter clearly a loser, Monday morning qbing though that may be).

But by all means, lay out the case.

She could have distanced herself from some of his policies that some people view as a failure.

    For example
"Joe had a good border policy but here is what I would have done (or would do) to make it better if I were president."

Stuff like that she never really did and I think that was a mistake. As far as I recall she never threw him under the bus for anything at all. I assume that was their strategy, which is a poor one when there is a narrative out there, whether accurate or not.

    I didn't change any, but cut down your quote, to reply to one point and provide the tldr version;

We've been witnessing crimes, and/or corruption, and/or misconduct happen in our government led by Donald Trump. You have stated that you agree b/c you wanted him impeached.

And we've watched members and leadership of the GOP lie for him. Lie about his crimes. They have been enabling this misconduct that you we both feel is impeachable. By ensuring it be unpunished, they are ensuring that we'll have more of this misconduct. That our children will.

And you stated you voted for straight (R) ticket, other than Trump and a few of the obvious miscreants.

    So here's where the goalpost stands, stood, and has never moved an inch;

That political organization is lying for and enabling un-American crime, and a vote for a single member of the GOP is a vote for.......lying for and enabling un-American crime.

I'm going to say it again, not to be a prick, but to show that the goalpost hasn't moved and doesn't move. Because I've been saying this all along.

That political organization is lying for and enabling un-American crime, and a vote for a single member of the GOP is a vote for.......lying for and enabling un-American crime.

It is simply a no-go to be the first President to willfully try to not honor the peaceful transfer of power. Such activity is criminal.

Voting for an organization that enables such conduct is no less than enabling conduct you yourself have stated is impeachable.

(And those goalposts have NEVER been moved.)

    * Also - again, all of this is not directed to you as in to say "You are bad, see how bad you are", but rather because there are certain people worthy of discussion and others more worthy of GIFs.

I highly suspect that you'll fully agree with me in fewer than 4 years. This should have been nipped in the bud.

That lasted about 10 minutes. Just like Groyper War I.

He bent the knee, again and predictably, barely two weeks later.

    Where is that group going?
