    You have good points.

But with respect to the FDA part of the reason we run so many trials here is that running trials in Europe have way more regulatory burden. It’s far more effective to run then here as opposed to dealing with 15 different countries regulatory boards.

I doubt that Kennedy will change much with the FDA as far as drug development.

I’m sure his role would be nada as obviously military brass wouldn’t have it.

Some kind of weird “troll the libz” stunt. Still, the ceremonial role of “in charge of missile defense”. That would be…um… something I guess. Nice meritocracy to start out with. Only the best.

I’ve never looked into EU regulatory framework so basically know nothing on that subject, but wouldn’t the EU “one market” have made it more streamlined across all of Europe vs each country? That was the point of it, to be able to compete more directly vs the U.S., so not sure why pharma would be different.

My guess is trump is dangling these nut jobs so that when he proposes slightly better whack jobs they get thru without much trouble.

You would think so but each country still has local regs regarding trials.

For example some of our Alzheimer’s trials use certain blood tests to help diagnose AD. In some countries those tests aren’t even approved for use.
The best way of diagnosis for AD is an Amyloid PET scan, some counties the tracer used isn’t available or is very limited. I was talking with the manager of a trial from a UK country a few years ago, they initially did not use the PET scan for inclusion in their trial. When asked why not they said well there are only like 4-5 places in the UK you can get one done. (We have 4 in the Daytona Beach area alone).

We are currently running an AD trial right now, it started enrolling in the US in Feb. It recently just got approved to start enrolling in the EU Last month. Took a full 8 months longer to get going over there. That’s pretty typical.
There seems to be less motivation to get work done when dealing with some of the EU governmental agencies. US can be slow but over there it’s painful.

RFK: we need to make our food supply more healthy
    Trump: ok, go wild buddy
FDA: we have to write more regulations
    RFK: ok
Trump: I am eliminating the FDA
    RFK: cool. Text me later.

    Circular firing squad.

    I see.

Guess it makes some sense, as each European country does run its’s own health system and those systems are far from identical. So while the “one market” makes things operate more smoothly for trade and travel, health care is a different animal.

Still surprising to me the “regulatory approvals” didn’t become more streamlined w/the formation of the EU. Running into trial issues with countries having different equipment and health practices is less surprising.

In fairness, it takes a lot of humility to claim you went to UGA. ;)

RFK will let the FDA do its drug trials on the illegal immigrants in the upcoming concentration camps.

    Two birds, one stone.

I am ok with it. This is what the working class wants. I hope they kill Obamacare. My rates will plummet. I have no interest in subsidizing Trump voters.

Lol. UGA has produced 24 Rhodes Scholars but Walker damn sure wasn’t one of them.

I’m much more upset about him claiming to have been a FBI agent. Known a few and the finest folks you’ll ever meet.
