If it takes the perfect candidate for the Dems to beat Trump, I don't think Dems are the problem. Why do Dems need the perfect candidate while the Repubs can put a candidate as awful as Trump out there and still win? It's on the people who voted for Trump. They should know better. Yes, obviously things could have gone better on the Dem side. Biden should have dropped out a year ago and there would have been a real primary and there could have been a male candidate running for the Dems. A male candidate would have definitely helped. And still almost all of the people who voted for Trump against Harris would have voted for Trump against whoever it was. Kamala was a pretty good candidate. Pulled the Dems together rapidly, raised a massive amount of money, had very energized rallies, absolutely destroyed Trump in the debate, held her own in the hostile Fox interview, and still lost.
This is all that needs to be said. People just actually cast ballots for POTUS for the first person in US history to oppose the peaceful transfer of power, and who also enacted a conspiracy to overturn an election. And they have no problem with a corrupt judiciary that made certain that there wasn't a trial for these allegations. Anyone who would be tolerant of that is the actual problem.
Come on, even Dems with half a brain are admitting they blew it. The Pubs had the worst candidate in 100 years and the Dems missed the lay up. Pretty bad that Trump’s support with AA and hispanics rose from 2020.
You think Biden was a perfect candidate? It takes a likeable one. Nether Hillary or Kamala ever won a real primary. Both anointed by the party,
Problem is the dems became the party of social justice warriors fighting androgynous unicorns. In doing so, they slowly alienated one section of their old base after another. Doesn’t matter if they voted R or stayed home. Math is hard
I agree in principle, but would add that this horrible choice is primarily on Biden. It starts with him and trickles over to a terribly misinformed voting populace.
Ehh, it's hindsight but the Dems failed to put up a candidate who should have EASILY destroyed the most corrupt and unqualified prez candidate in U.S. history. That's not on kamala. It's on Biden for feebly attempting to run again.
this. I recall this time 8 years ago, I caught the end of a radio clip where a dem strategist (still recall the name - Astral) summed things up by saying as long as the dem party remained the party supporting trans, native americans & something else, they would be just fine going forward.
I understand how a certain disenfranchisement might result in your mindset, but how can you neglect the other detriments, namely public education, women's reproductive rights, and the deficit?
Sounds like the same thing you people do if somebody somehow says something that Trump said at one point in his life and attribute that to copying Trump. Anyone want to see what a one trick pony looks like? Jo, you used to be entertaining, now you're just downright sad. You're probably going to end up on my THFSG celebrity filled block list, you should feel honored. Don't forget to color inside the lines like we talked about.
Just admit how you are tickled that the U.S. elected Trump. Pretend to sit on the sidelines and snicker. I'd say what that is, but mindful folks know.
