Let's see what his record of success to fill glaring holes this year in recruiting portals is. Secondary: 1 of 3 panning out. LB 1 working out. DT: 0 of 1. Edge: 1 maybe panning out but needed 2 elites. Receiver: 2 of 2. Looks like at best he would have a couple of positions that he won't be able to cover the glaring holes. Then add to it we won't have true freshmen as backups who played a role. Retaining him is a recipe for even more disaster next year.
Ally peek keeps saying there is good news coming on the recruiting front. Anyone else heard anything? I sure haven’t.
We will need safety help also and may need an extra DT. There isn't that much quality that will come here under the circumstances. This doesn't even take into consideration our being picked apart by other teams as NIL dries up. What needed done last year can't wait until next year. This team has been as talented as it will ever be until a coaching change.
I would prefer a stud Offensive or Defensive lineman but, at this point, I will take whatever we can get.
