Imagine running for office with a platform so bad and record so poor that the person you described beats you soundly. Quite the indictment of the Democrat party that they think so little of their party members that they don't even try. It's admittedly probably pretty tough to run a campaign based on fixing policy decisions and economic issues you enacted yourself. Almost feel bad for her that she had to run on Biden's "accomplishments". Almost.
Look, I know you and I and many here frankly won't see eye to eye. But i try to be honest and sincere. I am glad America sent a message last night to an extent, but that doesn't change how I feel about Trump one bit. And it is countered by my fear that he may destroy conservative thought going forward and create a backlash. He isn't worthy of my vote and he didn't get it. I can understand why people held their noses and voted for him. But even that has to be done with honesty. Own who he is and dont toss stones.
Good honest post. My wife and I, both boomers and conservative voted for Trump in 16 and 20. This time we voted for Kamala. That’s only the second time I’ve ever voted for a democrat president. All my friends voted for trump unless they are lying about it. I decided not to tell any of them how I voted. If I did they would think I’ve lost my mind. I pray for my country and hope for my sons and grandkids sake DT doesn’t do something crazy and affect their future.

He never held any elective office or any other position in government and other than a few successes very early in his career his history as a real estate developer was marked by repeated failures requiring bailouts from his father to the tune of $400 million including six bankruptcies. It was his role as a reality television star portraying a character created by Mark Burnett and NBC that led to his election in 2016 and inflation for which Joe Biden was blamed but did not cause that led to his election in 2024.
