It’s not the democrat’s fault that republicans elected a bad candidate. It’s the republican’s fault.
Every pro Harris commercial I saw included an affordable housing piece and a benefit for first time home buyers. Problem is that they don’t care about that, all they see are high home prices and that’s all that matters.
The 10 yr bond is up .17% today. Overnight houses have gotten more expensive, so as usual, people are voting against their best interests. On the other hand, the stock market is up a lot, so the rich get richer and the poor get poorer, go figure.

Let me get this straight. I should go with your gut vs what the exit polls say and that is a modern way to analyze? You argue for a living right?

Exit polls say that economy was slightly more important than democracy issues and thus that translated to enough people swinging to Trump. Give me anything that says "Dems are too mean" and I'll consider it other than "Ben says so".

So schools in Democratic states do not in fact have policies where they will not inform parents if their child wants to be referred by a different name and gender?

Decision Desk HQ now has it 220 R and 215 D in the house with republican control up to 78.9%.

I'd like to see more pickups in the senate. Republicans need to cover for our two non-Trumper 2/3 republicans, Lisa Murkowski of Alaska and Susan Collins of Maine without having to bring in Vance to break ties. With Mitt Romney fading into history, these two can't be the problems they have been in the past even at 52 republicans which is a given at this time.

    Are you ok?

Your own post--the ECONOMY > *democracy issues*.

The latter refers to the dems failed attempt to villify Trump; the former, to the incumbent POTUS' track record. You know... how his *policies* worked for voters.

(The [dems = mean] stuff falls under failed attempts to villify Trump to a degree that they'd vote against him, over their own interests. Which, per yesterday's results, = a resounding HELL NO).

I saw someone report this morning that New York is closer to being red than Texas is to being blue.

Yeh, but I bet you are watching the whining and gnashing of teeth on MSNBC this morning for enjoyment.

I think Lake has a chance. I expect that Arizona margin for Trump to climb. Especially after what happened in Texas.

I did tune in to the View this morning and they were very humble and accepting of the Trump victory.

Kari is my least likely. She should be getting it done in Maricopa County, but she isn't. Why? No clue as everything I've read says it is a republican county.

I think Pennsylvania will be #53 and Nevada will be #54 after a recount. The final senate is going to drag on a bit.

Every slip down a slope has first steps. Its ok to prevent them and it isn't bigotry to feel that way.

It’s the economy, stupid. However, all the other woke ( for lack of a better concise term) was icing on the election issue cake.

Thats like blaming Muschamp's loss to Georgia Southern on Georgia Southern.

Do you have teenagers or young adult kids? If so ask them what the social media ads (from campaigns and PACs) targeting them consisted of. It wasn't housing. It was abortion and identity politics. 99% of them arent really impacted by those two things. They live in the now and think about what costs them now.

If she had a strong message for 1st time voters, she should have aimed it at them.

Losing to Trump is an absolute embarrassment.

This is Muschamp vs Georgia Southern stuff.
And just like that fateful day, dems couldnt stop blocking each other.

A common problem among such social media influencers and last second presidential candidates. ;)

I agree. People don’t care what Trump does. Economy was more important and by economy I mean being angry at prices. That’s my interpretation of the data.

I don’t think there was a cultural revolution. People who hate/love Trump seem immovable to me.

I haven't turned it to MSNBC once. I can't remember the last time I've watched MSNBC. They are beneath me.

I think you are right. Younger didn’t break very democrat in some of the polls I saw. More of the same gender breaks.

She's going to concede to Trump this afternoon and a concession speech at 4pm today. We are being told she's preparing that speech now. Which is par for the course.

It looks like 1 or 2 either way on the house. How do you get turnout? Looks more like a straight up preference of vote at the President level not turnout. Was it down?
