Exactly. I said something similar earlier. I do not view this wave as a huge endorsement of Tump himself--that would have manifested in the rallies, a sea of red MAGA hats everywhere, and such--as much as a wholesale rejection of Obama-Biden politics and policies.

TBL: the verdict on Barry's 3rd term vs Trump's (epidemic/ partisan impeachment, leak ridden) 1st term... America clearly wants more of the latter--and to see what he can do with out so much subversive interference--and no more of the former--enough is enough.

Voters saw right through the transparent veneer of trying to hide Doh! Biden's wreck of a record, behind shiny new blank cover of sKamala.

Right. We see that you painted a pretty pic on a cloth, and threw it over a wrecked jalopy. Not buying.

    Cest la vie.

My unsolicited take from someone who couldn't bring themselves to cast a vote for either candidate...

People are just intellectually lazy so even though the U.S. did a good job regarding inflation compared to the rest of the world, the narrative is "bidenflation" which is dumb.

I also believe for all the craziness and obnoxiousness of MAGA, there is a large swath of people tired of being called misogynistic, racist, anti -American, etc by the left towards anyone that recognized Biden's cognitive decline years ago or Kamala's lack of popularity prior to being thrust into the presidential race. We voted a Black president in twice and I don't believe being a woman held her back in the slightest bit.

No one takes the high road anymore and if you believe "both sides" have a problem you get attacked for purportedly trying to ascribe any equivalence between parties or even worse, thinly veiling support of one party over the other. It happens in this forum all the time.

If the Dems focused on policy and let Maga out themselves for their ugliness I believe that even Kamala could have overcome her deficiencies as a candidate but instead they doubled down on vilifying half the country with their gaslighting.

Personally speaking my life doesn't change either way with presidential elections but I am concerned that one party has control of all three houses. That's not good either way and it's sad that people don't want checks and balances in their government.

    Is what it is.

You write like a 12 year old. You're exactly the type of person that is the problem. I'm sorry you believe a 4 paragraph comment seems like a major investment of time. You do you

The woman was as unlikeable as Trump. Race or sex has nothing to do with it.

I agree with some of this. I certainly think one of the reasons we throw out the incumbents every 2 to 4 years is that voters dont invest in understanding the issues and just vote for change for change sake. Inflation high? Throw out incumbents. Covid raging? Throw out incumbents. Recession? Throw out incumbents. Lost my job? Throw out incumbents.

The people deserve a great candidate. Accepting mediocrity or just enough is why we’re we are.

The polling did not have her unfavorable rating anywhere near Hillary or Trumps. I am pretty convinced that if a Nikki Haley, Hilary Clinton, and Kamala Harris couldnt defeat Trump, but Biden could... there is a likely impact from nominating a woman candidate. We can all agree Biden was not a great candidate. I voted him 5th in the primary he won.

No bro, it's your ideology that America rejected wholesale yesterday.

Kamala was merely the veneer your side sought to obscure their record with.

Kamala was actually pretty endearing, though her word salads were not very compelling.

The worst blow back stuff came from non-Kamala sources, such as Doh! Biden chiming in with his hold my beer/ garbage comment.

And what do all 3 have in common, along with all the other MEN who lost to Trump?

    They're all establishment shills.

    Every last one of them.

    Trump is a toad.

His appeal, is that he represents a voice against the establishment.

Meh. I love you but you are not one to attack word salads. The Democrats swept North Carolina for GOV, LT GOV, SEC of STATE, School Super...and down ballot pretty much held serve in many places. Trump has legs that other candidates dont. I said earlier 300-350k people voted straight Dem in NC then said "i love Trump" at the federal level. Thats not an ideology problem its an idol problem.

Biden was establishment. An establishment guy. All the women were establishment "shills". The guy was president. I really think America doesnt trust women at the executive level. Look at ceos and governors. Its pretty bare - about a quarter or less.
