No one ever considered Biden an exciting candidate. His primary qualifications was "not Trump". I wonder how much of the difference were seeing tonight vs 4.years ago is due to swapping the challenger/incumbent roles.

Trump extending lead in PA and the areas Harris should be gaining in aren’t coming like she needs.

Side note they won’t call Alaska for Trump yet, like Harris has a chance there…

I’ll give my take that the biggest difference is Biden has always been perceived as both fairly moderate and folksy, while she comes across as one of the “coastal Democrats” and staked out a bunch of far left positions while in the Senate and in the 2020 primary that she then had to (unconvincingly) try to distance herself from, combined with the absence of COVID as a campaign issue.

And while it’s not an issue that probably should drive anyone’s pick for president, my gut feeling is that “Kamala is for they/them, President Trump is for you” ad landed and was impactful.

Will be fun to see what he does doesn't do on illegal immigration. We've got a blueprint though, of course, from his first term.

He'll do nothing. It was a campaign of lies.

But then again, let's say he follows through on his promise lie to deport all illegals. At least it will be fun to watch. :)

My glass if half full. Stocks are probably going to continue their Biden rally. My crypto is raging tonight. Was never worried about myself.

Our nation though......well, we elected the first sitting President to try to overturn an election, to attempt to not peaceably transfer power. We'll get what we deserve.

"...it's governing, not campaigning that's the key."

Just like Nate Silver said--"you're mis-applying your own standards" (paraphrasing).

Btw, Nate prolly firing up a big fat cigar right about now...
