No, but he is largely seen as the catalyst for the Holocaust. With him, we know it happens, without him, it may not happen.

Your argument is that people that have respect for our Democracy must destroy our Democracy to protect it from a duly elected official?

If that duly elected official is Hitler 2.0 who will destroy democracy anyways, explain why the Hell not.

I think the answer is still yes, but that’s one man’s humble opinion.

No right answer. It's a conundrum.

This is why I lean toward Pentagon Coup with an appointed executive that would act in the spirit of a Cincinnatus or Fabius Maximus. . . Lead the country through crisis then go back to the plow.

I will preface this with saying that I dont really know exactly what people mean by "saving democracy." What a lot of liberals dont seem to understand is that a lot of steps toward any sort of actual democratic reform is going to be labeled "anti-democratic" whether its making DC a state, expanding the court, disbanding the EC, etc. There is no doubt that Trump and the Republican party is a danger to the tidbits of democracy we have here, but without some sort of actual slate of democratization to follow the rhetoric, it seems mostly like an excuse to defend the status quo, and not expect much else. Historically, the Union army and military occupation of the South at least did as much to deliver democratic reform and civil rights in this country as the ballot box. Ultimately voting will not necessarily deliver democracy, it might take something else.

I don’t pay much attention to these claims so I might have missed it but I’ve never heard/read anyone claim that he’s Hitler 2.0 or will carry out another holocaust. I’ve read where people think he makes statements similar to Hitler and other autocrats which will have a negative deleterious effect on the republic. Regardless, if one has a strong belief in the USA’s republic then you should have a belief in its checks and balances and not resort to extra-constitutional measures. You’re essentially advocating dropping a nuke before the war.

Not so much that he conceded just that his attempt at overturning the election failed

Well, there are charges against him and some of the folks that volunteered to ruin their lives to help.

Your Hitler 2.0 analogy is like a stale, bad cheese that was never any good in the first place.

It's a strawman so you can denigrate those that accurately compare Trump's rhetoric to that of Hitler.

It's also bush-league discourse that won't work here. If you're upset about people comparing the rhetoric of those two.......then maybe you should be upset that Trump chooses to use the same, or very similar, rhetoric as Hitler did.

Or she could simply say that supporting the peaceful transfer of power is more important than which individual gets elected, no matter how dangerous that individual might be.

TLDR - remember when you said you don't read what others post because its not worth your time if someone had the nerve to have a differing opinion.

Hopefully you didn't put a lot of thought into whatever you wrote above. As per usual, you probably conflated what I said with several other posters and are most likely responding incorrectly, I'll never know.

Im not advocating anything. Im simply following the logic Democrats are espousing to its conclusion.

You haven’t heard Trump compared to Hitler?

    Nah--he pretty much conceded outright:

The charges came later, and basically, bc and not until after he announced he was running again.

What I’ve gotten from this thread is that Trump makes comments similar to comments Hitler has made, but he is not Hitler 2.0 and we are not at risk of another Holocaust.

This seems like an adoption of the “Hitler owned a dog” argument with respect to Trump by some left-leaning posters, which is not something I thought I’d see. :D

Keep in mind you are talking to a cult.....The too hot libs love to call Trump supporters the MAGA cult but the real cult are those who believe and follow everything CNN tells them.

CNN MSNBC the NYT and other liberal rags are masters at cutting and pasting video to emphasize exactly what they want you to hear and believe. I've noticed lately on some video they actually cut out pauses in speech and turn volumes down and up to emphasize what they want to come across to you. The CNN sheeple cult don't even realize they are being led.

Anyone paying attention can hear Trump's fascist rhetoric and see his fascist tendencies.

When he becomes our first dictator, YOU OWN IT!!! YOU ELECTED HIM!!!
