Amen! I've been saying this for years. You elect someone like Trump, who all will agree is of the lowest of character, you're asking for trouble.

I think supporting genocide is immoral. Which of our political leaders are doing that?

Not sure what you mean with the GOP being "locked in the 'pay it no nevermind'", but i think they were hell bent on--you might sat 'locked in on"--taking whatever they could get, after all the material witnesses with incriminating knowledge, conveniently turned up dead, or suicided themselves with multiple GSW's to the back of the head, and such... (giving rise to the famous "Clinton death count")...

But I suppose one could argue that the pubs were being petty for not quite buying so many incredibly, extraordinarily convenient untimely discontuances of inconvenient lives.

It's like how unfair it was that punk ass pu$$y Elliott Ness had to settle for cheesy tax charges to take down Capone.

    So petty of the pubs....

The pendulum has kept swinging back and forth for decades.
My hope is that when this cycle clears it can start settling down in the middle for a while and we can get back to candidates that at least ACT presidential. But I won’t hold my breath.

I guess you were living in a cave in 1991, there were plenty of accusations about BC when he began his run for POTUS. If you were paying attention.

But not dozens of, or any, allegations of sexual assault, like with Trump. And he didn't verbally admit to sexually assaulting women, like Trump did.

If you want to understand the moral character of Democrats look at who they let into our country

The one difference between Donald Trump and every one of his predecessors alleged to have committed acts of adultery is that a certain rather prominent group of supporters of the most recently defeated former president claim that that Biblical morality should be a feature of government and that the personal morality of the president matters or at least they believed that when Bill Clinton was in the White House. Some of the most vocal critics of Clinton Franklin Graham and Jerry Falwell coming immediately to mind have been willing to give Donald Trump a free pass a politician who said that he has never had to ask for forgiveness. The reality is the so called Evangelical Christians are hypocrites who have willingly made a Faustian bargain with Trump. Regardless of the Donald's lack of personal morality they supported him in exchange for SCOTUS justices willing to overturn Roe v. Wade and support other positions favored by the religious right such as the right to discriminate which they call religious freedom.

    You mean like these people?

Unlike the former president Democrats takes these Biblical verses (and there are many more) seriously.
Foreigners or refugees are not to be oppressed.
    • Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners because you were foreigners in Egypt. Exodus 23:9
Jesus says to show disciple-like behavior in how we treat strangers.
    • I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me. Matthew 25:35

You can help the poor in their own country. No need to bring unsuccessful illiterates and criminals here. We should let in people who make America stronger, not weaker

Reminds me of what some Americans like you were saying about Italians and other European immigrants over a hundred years ago as exemplified in this cartoon.
    upload_2024-11-4_18-55-54.jpeg
Or Jewish immigrants from Eastern European like my grandparents as exemplified in this cartoon.

I think the Kennedy clan did their share of womanizing. We all know about Teddy then JFK and Bobby had their alleged affairs with Ms Monroe.

BTW what could JFK's kids do that nobody else's kids could do....... They could kiss their Onassis.

Didn't want to start a new thread, and thought this thread might be appropriate.

Short, sweet, and to the point. TRUMP SUCKS!

What if Pence did what his leader told him to do? Trump was that close to becoming the Nicolas Maduro of the United States.

A refusal to give up power can be easier to achieve than most think. Democracy is extremely vulnerable, especially if you have an intimidating strongman who surrounds himself with loyalists. If Trump wins, he will not hire competent people, he will hire people who will kiss his ring.

He should’ve been disqualified after January 6th and I hope there are enough people left in the US who see the danger of reelecting him.

Once again you have to wade in and post about Trump.

    Try to stay on topic.

Bill Clinton, the 42nd president of the United States (1993–2001), has been publicly accused of sexual misconduct, including rape, harassment, and sexual assault.”

But he wasn't accused of rape when anyone cast a vote for him. Get the facts straight.

Let me guess . . . you think the criminality of the Republican candidate for President is irrelevant in a discussion of morality in the Oval Office.

    I disagree.

Trump is getting pretty damn close. By the way, this is what the Nazi's said about the Jews. He's also called for a day of violence, like the Nazi's did to Jews on Kristallnacht in 1938.
