I saw him play. He was a crowd favorite but he wasn’t very good. I believe the Gators started six different QBs that season.

I’m assuming you are joking but I was there when Dickey installed the Wishbone. He kept it a secret, practiced all spring and preseason, and revealed it in the opener against Cal. The Wishbone is complicated and requires a double read by the QB. It was a full year before the team was running the full package.

That little bitty dude tackled him and knocked the ball out because he can’t get his arms around the ball to secure it. Anyone who thinks dez should line up anywhere on the offensive side of the ball should have their head examined.

Apparently, you don't know what football players do.

    They run.

And then they smash into people, or try to keep other people from smashing into them.

    But it all involves running.

Your opinion suggests that our coach is to blame for DJ getting hurt while running, which means that you think DJ should never run. It was a non-contact injury.

Given that you feel so strongly about your "opinion", why don't you touch base with Inter-Miami soccer and tell them to stop making Lionel Messi run, as he might injure his hamstring.

Was any of that injury on field conditions? Didn’t we lose Shemar in pregame there last year due to field issues?

We have two of the best QB'S in the SEC on our roster, lose them both to freak injuries and some posters use it to bash our coaching staff. Amazing.

What nonsense? Most of you expect a 3rd string walk-on to be Tom Brady in one week and to go into Texas stadium and be great. That is the definition of nonsense. You do that and he'll toss 4 INTs. We have been running the ball extremely well lately with 2 new backs that have shown me that Montrell is no longer the #1. 150+ yards against Georgia's defense even with an 8 and 9 man front. That's our best chance to move the ball, but you people expect a walk-on to be Tom Brady in one week. That's never going to happen. The best you can do is fall back on what you can do and throw in a few high % pass plays to keep the defense honest. If we could slowly break him in against Samford or UCF, that would be great, but he's going to see 3 really good defenses in a row - Georgia isn't the only good defense left on our schedule.

How about as a FB? The kid has a motor and quickness that many 100lbs lighter don't have. At least have a package or 2 for him, like 3rd and 1.

It also requires good ball handling skills.
    • The QB has to be timely and accurate on the pitch outs.
    • Also, the running backs need to be ready to catch the pitch out and have good hands to catch it.

Defenders would blow by him like he was a concrete divider. I have zero interest in seeing him take reps on the offensive side of the ball. I wish we had better options on the defensive side of the ball too.

    He's too slow...you could measure his 40 with a sun-dial.

Plan B isn’t our strong suit these days, we can’t get Plan A up and working before the season is half over.

I might choose another game where we are not down to our 3rd or 4th deep cb on both sidelines.

You mean that qb that stunk up the field until the Gators got down to their 6th choice at cb? Btw will you now admit that your safety position had a problem with depth? Starks got embarrassed.
