Police brawls in EverBank Stadium?

This is actually a very critical point under Florida law, I just don't see the video that way. At the 0:08-0:10 mark of the YT video I posted in #3, I do not see his hand striking the cop's hand, I see him pulling away from the cop's grasp. HUGE difference.

That may seem like a picky issue, but again it is critical. If he swatted the cop's hand, that's battery on a law enforcement officer and/or resisting arrest/obstructing an officer with violence, both felonies. Case law in Florida is absolutely clear. Even if you are being arrested illegally, you can not use violence. The ONLY exception is that one may use reasonable force to defend oneself if the cop is using excessive force. Repeatedly striking someone using handcuffs as brass knuckles comes to mind as an example of excessive force.

If I am correct and the guy merely was pulling his hand away from the cop's grasp, that is obstruct or oppose without violence, a misdemeanor. It is an essential element of that charge that the cop be in the lawful performance of his duties. If the cop is NOT in the lawful performance of his duties, it is perfectly legal to resist/oppose/obstruct/ignore/disobey/run away from that cop as long as the person does so without using or offering to use violence.

If this cop was in the lawful performance of his duties (we don't have that information), it was legal to arrest him. I still, however, think repeatedly striking him with a weapon was excessive force.

Hey, I'm as big a supporter of law enforcement as you might find, but there are limits. It would be nice if everyone did as Chris Rock put out a sensible comedy bit about not getting your "a$$ kicked" by police ... but not everyone listens and not every officer beats the crap out of folks ...

 

Ha. Excuse my assumption, I don’t care who moved it and I saw you were first post and you were active on the calm thread. Was happy nobody moved it and instead it was erased and remade here and I had done and poster a bunch of research in it.

 

If a cop tells you have to go you don’t have to go (unless going means legal detainment and arrest)

They are supposed to wear cameras now just for this kind of BS beaten in to your head. Stand up for your fourth amendment. Stand up for your freedom to be treated with your right to not to be illegally searched, illegally removed of your freedom even if it’s for a moment of detained unless there is a purpose. I don’t care what either of those guys did the standard operating procedure for any detaining is if you feel threatened AND that you have credible cause to think the citizen committed a crime.

In if someone is sitting there not threatening you slowly arm them and IF AND ONLY if you plan on arresting them you warn them they are detained and prepare for the cuffs. He never did that. Even then, once you try by wrestling with them you can for fun sit there and pound them half to death. Again, in this forum it’s just gonna be a political racial (somehow discussion) when this is about proper police operation and neither of these men are going to be paid by the state aka you.

If it’s the same two guys on the same day, which it certainly looks like, they’ll be fired at best and definitely all those victims will make out like bandits (again if real JOS). Usually at a game, look around, cops don’t walk in the stands with their pieces. Something is off here but giving up our rights that our families and countrymen have fought for should just be given to two puts who make 60k a year.

Know your rights. Most cops know them now a days. In video 1 their guns are just ready to be grabbed by anyone around them while they pummel a grandfather while he’s already knocked out. While being laughed at by a bunch of poodles.
