If he holds what we have left together to finish the season he will be back next year. Multiple reasons why, but mostly because the replacement process needs replacing first. Not my choice, but only way he gets let go is if he loses the team and leaves them no choice.
Ahh, good point, I didn't look further back. Still, he's a D-1 starter. We've had a weird run the last 3 years.
the Jaguars had similar injuries last week on that same field. very surprising that with all the money the NFL has that they would allow a game to be played on a sub par playing field.
Those kids played their ass off. Coaches have made great improvements. What part of not playing to win are you seeing?
This game was winnable. This team came to play. I can only imagine the possibilities if both Graham and DJ were healthy. Even only DJ and we could have kept moving the ball consistently. That would have given the defense even more mojo. Being snakebit hurts!!! It sems like we have been for quite some time. Remember Will Grier? This feels like that. I am lamentring but why does it feel like it is only us that have all these struggles??? Ranting for sure!
You don’t think he is getting the very best from his players or staff ? The rost is an infirmary nightmare. With a chance to beat both UT and UGA? Damn dude .. who do you think we are..? You are correct that I didn’t like Mac or Mullen . I did like Champ and wish he would have worked out. . Thy not to put bs out , Ok ?
Name a good qb3 anywhere in the NIl/portal era. I was on a cruise with some mutts. They said they have no clue who their third string guy is and have no interest in finding out if he’s any good. They do like their number 2, actually better than their 1. I’m pretty sure their number three is Jaden Rashada.
The improvement of the team is dramatic but the play calling has gotten only slightly better due to the Lagway effect which is a moot point now. While it’s hard to put in a 3rd stringer in any game, the play calling could definitely had been better. Why not use two RB formations and create more eye candy with motion and play action? Asking a kid who is a preferred walk on with ZERO college experience to throw the ball down field beyond 10 yards is stupid. I’m afraid Billy will stick around similar to Muschamp sticking around after losing to an FCS school. If Billy stays, they better make damn certain he gives up calling plays but no real OC will want to come here given the situation.
Ar enough being serious . Just because you are a poor athletic specimen with no hand / eve coordination doesn’t mean you can’t play.. You could get out of the house for 5 hours, during some cold beer….If your wife would let you that is.
the throat slashing and taunting are actually penalties. And should be called but seemingly get ignored when Florida is the opponent, that does infuriate me. it is an endless cycle of returning the favor. Those are the “reasons” I mentioned- Spurriers payback came 30 years after his experience as a player (most people would say after 30 years be the bigger man but since it was our coach, it was ok). Meyer’s was a year after so pretty fresh. But it doesn’t matter. Every teams fan bases have some slight or experience that they take personally so I don’t begrudge it when it happens to me/my team. (For example, Canes fans and the Florida flop. Gator fans find it fine. Canes don’t). I don’t like it but what comes around goes around. Hopefully soon we are directing our band to play rocky top at Tennessee and digging up some sod at Tally or whatever salt we have to rub in opponents wounds.
He’s still pissed from when we smoked OSU in 06 in the MNC. If I recall correctly he was lobbing hard for a OSU michigan rematch.
Conclusion (a)- Vandy - who is a bottom dweller with a grand total of 2 SEC wins over the prior 3 seasons- who has the lowest team talent composite in the SEC- whose schedule included at the time #1 Bama and #5 Texas - pretty hard schedule but for Vandy any schedule is hard- the hard schedule isn’t an excuse as they already qualified for a bowl. Having a hard schedule isn’t an excuse for losing games. Conclusion (b) - Vandy brought a coach back who only won 2 conference wins over 3 seasons for a 4th season. They got a new OC and some great portal additions and lo and behold…look at that improvement in year 4. Napier can have an even bigger turn around if we give him that 4th year! I’m guessing conclusion (a) was his point but you never know.
Every team on the planet has to deal with injuries. It’s part of the game. It’s no excuse. You have to look at his coaching resume as a whole.
