If he wants to turn recruiting around and get positive momentum, then yes. He used his mulligans the last 2 years. Recruiting will further tank if we don’t see on field progress
Tonite? Are you blaming this loss, in which we lost our star QB and 4 key players on defense, on Napier? Hell Bobby, we’d have won this game without those game changing injuries. And you can’t blame Billy for not having the depth Georgia has. We’re building depth but Georgia has been on a roll for over a decade
Unfortunately, the Gators aren't pulling off any upsets with this qb. I'm not sure how they'll even move the ball that much, but at the end of the year, Napier will have 3 straight losing seasons. No moral victories, hard schedules, or qb's getting hurt changes that. Tough break for Billy this year, but we're stuck in neutral, and it's time for a change.
I get what you are saying but you are what your record says your are. Like others pointed out we aren’t pulling in a top recruiting class and the past does matter because we have to have something to measure against. Otherwise we are just that mediocre team saying, wait until next year. youre about to jump?
Ok so you have all the answers for a new coach . They are crawling around all over the place . What have we been doing the last 15 years ? Changing coaches. What the hell is wrong with you ??
Fans can blame Billy for losses. Year 3. Every team has injuries each week. If your argument is to keep Napier because he lost because of “bad luck” then we have become Kentucky
Tonight the team showed talent is there. Question is why didn’t we play like this in week 1 at the start of the season. Napier is holding this team back. Same schedule next year and we can never get out of our own way.
With Lagway, maybe, but with Werner, no way. The only way we win the next 3, oh heck what am I kidding, there's zero chance of winning the next 3. We might be competitive but that would be stellar considering Werner doesn't have the benefit of a bye week to get in the reps. At Texas, with a kid that has never played on the road and now has to start at Texas. Maybe if the next 3 were Miss St, UCF, Samford, we'd have a pretty good shot at winning those 3.
And that would sound exactly like what these fans said during Muschamp's last season when we had all those injuries. He didn't cause the injuries but the status of the program hit so low that it seemed we couldn't a fair shake at anything good.
What did he say that was hateful? I heard him say plenty of great things about the Gators and even tried to encourage us that this young quarterback will get better.
I still have my doubts about Napier. But the improvement on offense and especially defense cannot be denied. It's real. The key to me is: Do we have a home run hire lined up or just another mid-level prospect? If the latter, why start all over AGAIN!!!
with a terrible recruiting class coming in a likely possibility, we will be falling off the cliff, forget neutral
This is where I agree with Skink. It’s not about the past. Who wins more games in the next 3 years and stockpiles more talent? Napier or a new coach?
Why? I feel ripped off when they don't. I absolutely despise how they've shortened games in various sports to appease the casuals.
