100% correct still had a chance to win the game and we had another special teams error. Years ago when this all started, everybody said he needed three or four years and guys like the guy at Indiana and many others that we could name improved. It doesn’t take three or four years. Let’s hope the next guy that comes in frames his mentality as wanting to win immediately. And remember, he will be dealing with probably not the team that Billy inherited. If I remember correctly, Billy was a great recruiter yet that’s not occurring.
Did anyone notice #25, I'm not sure if Cormani McClain or the running back, but he got hit in the back of the head with a Warner throw when he was getting rid of it? I hope that didn't give someone a damn concussion. I just couldn't believe what I was seeing after so many others went down. Like we got hit with some voodoo injury bug all of a sudden where the most bizarre and unlikely situations were leading to injuries.
Yeah, it’s funny so many seem to miss the point that he has not recruiting at a high-level and he definitely doesn’t win at a high-level. I think that was the thought that troubled me early on that he should be getting three and four years to win, which is absolutely not acceptable.
We have to accept the fact that most, if not, all of the teams in the southeastern conference are ahead of us. At some point, we need to think about what we are going to do to try to play catch-up which is a very sad thing to say at the University of Florida.
but we get killed when we point that out in the recruiting forum fans don’t follow recruiting and be on some “i don’t care about or follow recruiting, I only want guys who want to be Gators” and look at where that’s gotten us. Recruiting MATTER!
You are correct, they were missing several players and their number one running back. They played with their third and fourth team running backs.
Proud of the way players responded, however our current situation goes beyond one game…outcomes are culmination of coaching decisions and personnel. This game gave Fuchs more excuses to keep current system in place. Unless there’s some dark horse in the portal, 2025 ain’t looking good
Damn that was tough. We looked fast in those uniforms today. Too bad Napier isn't an assistant coach and head recruiting coordinator.
Yes, sir, we do, but those are guys that don’t know, recruiting, team organization, and have orange and blue glasses on. You, I and a couple of other said it not OK to say it takes three or four years to win. Here’s the question I would ask… Do you think if We Bring Lane in And he inherits this team with lots of guys leaving and a recruiting class ranked 50th that he will tell us he should only win five games in year one?
you mention Indiana... a perennial bottom feeder program in the big 10 ...they have turned it around,,,somebody please find out what they did right lol
I’m glad you brought that up, they hired a coach with the mindset that he wanted to win right now and thought it was not acceptable Any other way… That’s the problem, many of our boosters, fans, etc., etc. for some reason accept that it was OK for Billy to “build it “when the guy before him had been to New Year’s Day bowl games A couple years in a row. They played that they weren’t left with anything which was not true. Sad thing is, the defense has gotten better yet the offense continues to stop us. Georgia had injuries too as they were playing their third and fourth running back and a quarterback that was definitely struggling. Injuries had nothing to do with the 10 point swing that took place when we botched a field goal and basically gave them great field position for a touchdown
Why can’t we we win while we figure it out? Is accepting being a loser part of it? I’ve never been that dude
