Absolutely played their hearts out. Heck of a game under the worst of QB circumstances. D is remarkably improved and proved it again. OL substantially better and running game remains legit, regardless of who is back there. And the miracle nearly happened. Tough loss, but again, heck of a game.
I guess 3 is the magic number of good/great QBs moving forward in this league. How can anyone disagree with this? All coaches should strive to get 3 or more great QBs.
There is probably no college team that has a good third string QB. No way they would stay with free transfers and the NIL. Your argument is going no where. They did close on signing day that is why we had Lagway to start with. You think Rashada stays if Lagway signs or Lagway signs if Rashada is here? You must have been asleep the last 2 years.
I dunno - freak turf issues taking down our 2 QBs, losing multiple starters and still running down the most highly regarded defense's throat? Our defense is the real deal and our o line is playing like they are actually good. We have a good team that is playing decent football. I dont know why they didnt earlier but they are now. Probably not good enough to save Napier - which is good thing but I actually enjoy watching them play. Bummer about Lagway... think how our natty teams would have fared if Tebow or Leak or Wuerrful went down. Not happy with losing and we can blame the coach if we want on the injuries but I like this team.
259 if you take out the bad snap on the field goal. I think that was the only really bad play on our part, but it was a big turnaround. Smack would have made the field goal and we would have been back in the lead.
The team is clearly Improved. With Mertz and DJ's injuries BN will probably not win another game this season, but will gain another year. We probably beat Georgia today with DJ. This team would have won at least 7 games.
I’ve never seen a team lose two quarterbacks in one season to basically non-contact injuries. What’s going on here?
As much as I hate that bowl cut headed fool, I think you're right. We definitely had his team on the ropes multiple times even with him having a week off to prepare and I think he may have shown a slight pinhole of respect because of it. Still sucks we couldn't have shoved a boot up his rear with DJ at the helm like we were on our way to do. Ugh that would have been glorious.
I'm trying to be not so critical or face getting banned again. It is a pattern, an ugly pattern that is extremely difficult to break. I was extremely critical of the equipment manager early in the game because it seems we have been slipping all year, even at home. We've lost a few to injuries because of slipping.
Sigh. Tough game. Team fought. Staff has built a good culture. Decisions. Decisions. Let's hope basketball has a special season.
Glad to see a post I fully agree with! This program is in deep trouble, and I am not patting any backs. For now, I will keep quiet and see how this plays out! Go Gators!!!
The team represented. That is all I wanted for this incarnation. Napier is still in play for a fourth year. But there is still a bunch of land mines. We shall see.
Team played hard. Bur when has close losses to Georgia and other ranked teams been something to be happy about at UF. Losing close games to rivals is acceptable and normal for Kentucky
I actually will take the moral V on this one. Never seen a team with so many key injuries. It’s insane. Team never quits or sulks. No infighting. They fight for Napier. If he gets an Oc I’m fine keeping him. But they SHOULD go after Lane. Program seems cursed. Marco Wilson shoe curse
