There will be many heavy hearts in VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena Monday night due to the sudden passing of USF coach Amir Abdur-Rahim. Hailing from Atlanta, Abdur-Rahim was a 15pt/game starter during a three year career at SE Louisiana. His freshman year was at Garden City CC, where he scored 19/game. Abdur-Rahim was asst coach at Texas A&M and Georgia, among other stops. He was an excellent coach and was making great progress with USF's program. Don't be surprised if this is a tough game for the Gators. RIP coach. To the contest, there have been some suggestions that picking the winner should matter. While I'm not compelled to make that a requirement for winning closest-to-the-score, I thought it might be fun to add one wrinkle: Pick the winner against the spread = .5pts. Let me know if you agree with this addition. I will pilot it for the first three games after which a decision will be made for the rest of the season. Gators 86 Sfla. 71 MVP. Martin SOG+3 Hate to have to beat on an emotional team that has lost a great coach. But our schedule (business) needs to get wins early and often so when NCAA seeds get picked, we have a very good base of wins. Go Gators!

I think picking the winner then closest to the score. It eliminates all the BS . Just like golf , people give putts in golf when they are in some tournaments . Different groups vary the distance. Putt the ball in the hole and all the BS is taken away UF 91 USF 79 MVP Clayton SOG plus 3
