Taylor S. and Mia with unbelievable games! Mia 3 for 3 , a homerun and 2 walks! Ava looked really good in the circle tonight. This team is electric.
Just for the heck of it....compare Oklahoma's coverage of fall ball to ours. Here's an article linked on front page of national Google news. They also have links to articles on On3, Sports Illustrated and Rivals and probably more: OU softball shuts out MACU in 'Gasso Bowl' fall scrimmage
Also, check out floridagators.com summary of last nights two baseball exhibition games UF vs. Jacksonville. By Sullivan Bortner. It’s excellent and just what we need for softball! This is a model to show CTW.
BTW....Caroline's no-hitter yesterday was her sixth this season. Not sure how you throw six in one season but she has done it. Since they also have Rackley in the circle, I'm not sure how many starts Caroline has had but six no-hitters has to be close to half of her starts.
Didn't we use to have a recruiting thread to talk about future players high school ball? I was think we did when we used to post all this same stuff about Keagen. Jsut to keep now and future separate.
Who was at the game last night? If you can, please give a summary of your observations and some highlights that you saw. It would definitely be appreciated by the rest of us.
I just opened floridagators.com/sports/softball and the last news I see was 185days ago on October 18th. Am I missing something as I just sent an email to Ms Brittany Thursday complaining about lack of coverage?
Reagan and Mia with homeruns. Mia was 3 for 3 with a homerun and 2 walks. Taylor S. Was 3 for 5 . Had a double . Korbie and kendra had a rough night but made some great plays. Kara struggled in the circle and Keagan , Red and Ava looked great. The ss is still struggling at the plate but it's early. Jocelyn and Ariel caught and it was nice to get Ariel some time, she threw a girl out and looked good. They are just a very dominant and well rounded team this year. I wish they posted some stats.
Huge! I spoke to a friend of Mias family and she had a small surgery over the summer , she struggled with her ankle all last year they told us (no flexibility). Going to be a great year for her this year. Her homerun hit the scoreboard! Her defense looked great too.
Just enter floridagators.com. The second story is a summary of the baseball exhibition, not the softball exhibition game. I was hoping we could get similar coverage tomorrow of the softball games.
I gotta agree with this. If we don't separate present from future, it gets to be too much. You are right, we used to have a thread for future HS players and there is a thread for portal transfers. But the HS thread seems to have dropped off, so I replaced it: (SB) - High School Softball Recruits | Swamp Gas Forums
My takeaways from last night.... 1. My biggest was Rothrock. She came in with no outs and bases loaded. From when she walked on, her entire vibe seemed to be: "You've had some fun, UNF, but there's a new sheriff in town." She exuded complete confidence and got the next three batters out. 2. Every player has nights they'd like to forget. Last night was Kara's. It wasn't that UNF was hitting her, it was that she couldn't find the plate. 3. I'm really enjoying Red. Last week, when CTW had her bat late because the game needed to be over, she hit a decent fly, after it was caught, she took a little curtsy. She seems to have a lot of personality. Mostly, I like the way she fast pitches. Very little time before delivery -- noticeably less compared to any pitcher I've ever seen. 4. People I was with said it was Mia's birthday -- great way to celebrate. She needs more birthdays. 5. Have I mentioned repeatedly how weird this stadium is? There is not a single seat that could be legally sold without the ticket saying "obstructed view."
Sorry, I thought you meant softball. I’ve got softball (and this forum thread) in my favorites so I bypass the home page. BTW I believe somebody not doing their job with no new news in 15 days during Fall Ball. What do think potential recruits and their parents think when comparing our website to our competitors, OK, Tex, Bama. It’s frustrating as I’d like to see our program #1 in all aspects to match our wonderful coaching staff and players. Just venting again….
I don't know if I'm in the minority but I don't get why it is a problem using one forum. Separate it and a lot of info on the "future" is going to get lost and it sure seems a lot of people enjoy hearing about upcoming stuff. I mean, what's hard about understanding the posts? We know who our current players are and we don't need a scorebook. What we should want to learn is everything we can on what is coming down the road.
At the risk of posting to the "wrong" forum, Buford is up 9-1 after two innings. Win this and they move to the championship games against East Coweta, the team that beat them a couple days ago. Coweta is unbeaten so Buford will have to beat them twice. Rackley got the start and has given up two hits, two walks, one strike out and the one earned run. Caroline appears to be a personality of the "Red" type. She had a rbi single in the 5-6 hole in the first inning, and in the third darn near killed a runner on third with a rope that creamed her but it was foul and then followed up the next pitch with a bomb to center that likely hasn't landed yet. Her bat flip was monstrous.
