    As VP nope I wouldn’t.

But since you’re giving her credit tell me what she herself did?
Being a tie breaking vote is a very tough thing if that’s all there is.

Why don't you look at it this way: Biden AND Harris worked together to fashion and implement fiscal policy. I do find it interesting, if not intellectually dishonest, that Trump repeatedly blames everything on Kamala. So Trump wants to blame Kamala and you want to claim she had nothing to do with outcome.

She has nothing at all, of note, to show for her nearly 4 years as VP. She can claim anything... but it would not be the truth.

I mean… the VP never gets “credit” because technically it’s the President’s agenda. The VP is always going to be “in the shadows” of the sitting President. That is quite literally their job. What VP is going to have a separate White House record apart from the President they serve under??? It’s a nonsensical standard you are trying to impose and it’s pathetically obvious it’s because the economic record ain’t bad.

If unemployment were 10% and markets were unraveling would you be using this “yeah, but what did she have to do with it line?”. Of course not. You’d assuredly be doing the opposite and try to attach her to Biden’s hip. Hell it doesn’t even have to be the VP, when things go really bad the whole party gets dragged down (see Obama vs McCain in 2008, no R had a chance following W’s mess).

Would you have said Obama and Biden worked together?
I find it interesting Harris was pretty much put on the bench for the last 3 years but now people want to act like she was the architect of everything good about the Biden administration.

As for Trump, one more place he and I aren’t aligned go figure.

    I’m not imposing a standard.
The left is very much giving Harris credit.

I’ll ask again what specifically did she do?

She was pretty much benched(because she kept making a fool of herself) for 3 years until Biden fell on his face.

Hell 6-8 months ago there was some discussion about dumping her off the ticket because her unfavorables were so bad. Running against Trump has been the best thing for her career.

Ask Trump what she's done. He's saying the economy is in the toilet and it's all Harris' fault because she is in the Biden administration. Only problem? The economy numbers are actually pretty good!

You're really going overboard with this. The Biden admin has done a nice job with the economy. Yes, we had inflation but that was worldwide. The US economy has performed better than virtually any other major economy in the world the last few years. Sure Harris isn't responsible for it, but if you want to continue the policies that have led to this good economy, you should vote for Harris. And if you want to shock the economy with high tariffs and mass deportations, you should vote for Trump.

The bolded was all I was looking for was that so hard?
Tell the rest of the board that’s trying to give her credit for sitting on the bench.
What did I post that wasn’t accurate?

In addition there is no guarantee Harris will be able to or will continue what ever policies you believe have led to the economy right now.
Letting the Trump tax cuts will have an effect, raising taxes will have an effect as well.

The FED may have more of an effect going forward as well.

Harris didn't do anything? Very cool. I can't seem to avoid hearing that she was responsible for everything because Biden's a senile figurehead.

I'm sure that before long you'll be back to us with all the bad stuff she was responsible for. She was the Border Czar. She let in that migrant who killed someone. Say his name!

You Trumpies should have to include a disclaimer before each post on whether it will be a "she did everything" or a "she did nothing" post.

We've been getting this for years.
When the economy is good, the party in the White House says it's all the president's doing. The other party says it's just good luck or the doing of the previous president, as long he was in their party.
When the economy is bad, the party not in the White House says it's all the president's doing. The party in the White House says it's just bad luck or the fault of the previous president, as long as he was in the other party.

Last year only one house in the neighborhood had full size candy bars. This year there were four houses tossing out full size candy bars. Economy is looking good.

You must have issues with reading English.

Don’t quote what somebody else posts and try to transfer it to me.
Weak trick, but that’s about all you have.

The question at hand is what did Harris do specially with regards for the economy.

Oh and for the millionth time I’m not a Trumper.

Never said you were. But Trump is the one claiming Harris broke the economy and Trump can fix it. I think asking Trump what Harris did to break the economy when three numbers are all very good is an equally valid question.

I think the most important thing to understand about the economy is that massive tariffs will damage the economy. You really want to pick and choose carefully when it comes to what products and what countries to put tariffs on, and how much those tariffs should be. Trump's ignorant claims that the economy was great in the 1890's are completely false--the country went through a 4-year depression and a 2-year recession during the decade, and a lot of that was blamed on high tariffs. Tariffs, when done broadly enough, are recipes for high inflation, because they are effectively paid for by the consumer. Furthermore, tariffs almost always result in retaliatory tariffs against U.S. companies, which reduces U.S. income from overseas sales.

And no, Trump did not invent tariffs against China. Some guy named George Washington was in charge when we instituted the first tariffs on China in 1789.

Trump was very fortunate to become president when the economy was well on its way to recovering from the 2008 Great Recession. There wasn't a whole lot he could do to screw up that economy, although he seems to have tried with his ideas for high tariffs across the board.
