Its always looking better in an election year but we will see whats up next year. Sure hope it gets better.
Same here, but I’m talking about the official name. I think putting a corporate sponsor’s name in front cheapens it.
Man, Burrito Brothers should have become a national franchise, sooooo good when I was at UF! Late 70's early 80's.
They eventually did open a location in Tampa in Carrollwood. Just not nearly as good. I love hot food...now. and the main is burrito bros. I first went to UF in 84 and, of course stood in a long line for BB. It was summer, it was Gainesville hot. I was behind a guy who ordered double wrapped, extra onions and peppers. Obviously he was a veteran. So i ordered mine double wrapped but no onions or peppers. Got my food, walked over to the business school, sat on a bench and proceeded to take a bite of double onions and peppers. Well, I'm not taking it back and hungry so i just ate it. Omg so good. Turns out my parents didn't like spicy food BUT unbeknownst to me one gma and one gpa on the other side loved spicy food. To this day i am the only one in the family of 5kids that likes spicy food lol. Thanks to BB!
They were burried under lawsuits. Unfortunate, biotech was the focus for spin offs from UF to business start ups. Progress Park in Alachua was developed for that and has remained viable but not the generator they hoped for. Exactech was one of the big successes. Sorry to see them have such trouble. One of the criticisms of Progress Park was location, too far from campus. These research professors time is valuable, it should have been a location closer to the university.
I like that for certain things. I'm much more of an overall cayenne fan so franks is my go to. Whenever i see the Frank's Xtra Hot
Back in the early 1980's there were rumors of IBM putting in a research park near there. And also rumors that some high profile UF administrators had property up there.
My fave. Dang, they were good. They got into a little trouble, taxes or something, and had to shut down.
