    Context of what I said matters. You’re more than welcome to think whatever you want about every other aspect of him, but the guy knows how to put on a sales show, and to get earned media, like no one else.

    Hell, the fact he can be so successful selling himself despite all his flaws is plenty of proof of that in and of itself.

    In all fairness (speaking as a Trump supporter), he's just taking the low-hanging fruit. I'm sure there has been no shortage of internal emails and conferences by the DNC over the past 8 years about what to never say about Trump supporters on a hot mic. But those are the kinds of things that can happen when you leave someone in that seat who is clearly incapacitated to a severe degree in his ability to handle the day-to-day duties of the Oval Office.

    But yes, if you set it on a tee for Trump like Biden did, he's going to hit it out of the park most of the time. He's still a great salesman, at the ripe young age of 78, no less.

    So Pubs go on and on about Joe's inability to get a sentence out straight, but pounce on this clearly garbled line as if it is exactly what he meant to say.

    Did he mean to call all of Trumps supporters garbage? Seriously doubt it, and you can see he tried to clarify it pretty quickly. (Isn't it nice when someone admits a mistake? MAGA wouldn't know.... Trump never does.)

    But the damage is done. MAGA snowflakes will clutch their pearls and say how inappropriate it was. They will likely start running around saying "I am garbage!" Shirts will be sold and they will proudly add them to their collection of shirts declaring they are deplorable, __ your feelings, Go Brandon (and what was actually being chanted), etc.

    All the while ignoring the truly deplorable garbage that Trump spews every time he opens his mouth.

    Someone doesn't understand how marketing works. The Trump machine is great at it.

    A terrible product that performs well is almost always the result of good marketing.

    I mean a slinky is the dumbest toy ever, but we all remember the jingle and we all had several.

    Why? Amazing marketing.

    No, he used the singular possessive "supporter's," which is why he used the singular noun "is" instead of "are."
