    - Trailer

I'm not sure if anyone has watched it, and I didn't see a thread about it - but as a democrat, if you want to feel a little bit better about our more sane brothers and sisters in the republican party, you should take a watch. A good look at how our republic and our civil servants held firm against the incredible attacks by a sitting president against the legitimacy of our elections.

I know I'm pretty disgusted by most politics right now, especially from hardcore trump supporters, so it was hard to convince me to sit down and watch - but I'm glad I did. I doubt we'll be so lucky this time around, as in several states that were close last time Trump loyalists have slithered their way into the process and may be in positions to cause problems that we were able to avoid last time.

I would encourage moderates, independents, and republicans to watch it as well. We are ALL going to face this again if he loses, especially since any loss will most likely be very close again, and the attempts to influence the outcome will be much more organized this time... A part of me almost wants him to win so we don't have to deal with this subversive crap again.

One of the reasons I don't get HBO. They have always been left leaning and much of their programing is politically motivated.

For anyone that doesn't believe the election was stolen, republican leaders are actually shown in an incredibly positive light in this documentary. The only people who would have a problem with this documentary are those that believe the 2020 election was stolen.

This is an awesome thread. I am glad President Trump is going to get a second term as POTUS.

A lot of fantasy, corruption, treason, wayward self-serving interest, and denial in the GoT too. ;)

Without even clicking on the trailer I can tell you this documentary has a very left lean to it......Just knowing HBO's past motives is enough for me.

I think your problem is that in your mind reality has a left lean.

Think of what will happen to the democratic process if he wins! The problem is, Trump supporters think the democratic process AND our economic system has let them down and left them behind. They're not entirely wrong about that. What they are wrong about is believing Trump, or any strongman, will make their lives better.

For me at least, that's the nub of the problem in America today.

    Thanks for the info.

Was the show depressing, knowing that this unAmerican, LYING POS is back, prepared to LIE, CHEAT and STEAL his way back into office?

No, reality has a FACTUAL lean.

According to former Senator Danforth, who reviewed all the court cases with seven other Republicans: "There is no possibility that the 2020 election was stolen. None."

Perfect line that sums up so much. "They felt like they didn't need evidence. It didn't matter. If Trump said it, it's fact."

"They're not entirely wrong about that."
    Perhaps.

But, they have been bombarded with nonstop LYING about their situation, the democratic process and the economy for nine years. Thousands of LIES by Trump and his cronies.

From his former White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham:

You have to understand the GOP. They didn't want Trump in 2016, but once he won, they wanted the plush jobs in his administration. They were never going to promote Trump's agenda. They were going to promote the GOP's agenda. The America First Voters despise the GOP because they witnessed the GOP try to hinder the policies they voted for. The GOP does not care about the border. They don't care about jobs. They don't care about wars. They love the money made off of wars. The GOP could care less if the voting was on the up-and-up. The one thing about most Democrats is they will tell you how they will vote. Those controlled by the GOP tell you one thing and vote the opposite quite often.

Ballots have become more important than votes. Ballots win the election. Unlimited mail-in ballots and drop boxes make it very easy to cheat. To disagree is not being honest. To trust machines knowing that everything is being hacked in the world today is dishonest. Common sense goes out the door. One-day voting, limited mail-in ballots for those out of town, paper ballots, and voter ID are common sense.

No, usually any reporting on crimes by Trump, or tolerance of them by his supporters, is simply documenting the facts.

He is, after all, a convicted felon who was found guilty of 34 felonies and remains indicted for about 50 more.

One-day voting is only a "common sense" solution to a person who has no sense. It is far easier to attack and/or undermine an election when everything has to happen on one day.

You have offered zero evidence to justify making it harder for people to vote. Just conspiratorial rantings. But that's not surprising. You blindly follow a buffoonish demagogue.
