Conservatism to me has always been less government interference and fiscal responsibility. They've gotten bigger by pushing themselves into people's lives, and show zero fiscal responsibility. I'm not 100% sure anymore when that changed.

I believe the tea party started infiltrating the party in 2008. They have destroyed the party

What happened to socially liberal fiscal conservatives? They are like dinosaurs now. Party is all in on social bullshit and completely abandoned fiscal sanity. Hell, in many ways the Republicans are the far left economic party now. Especially when it comes to tariffs.

It still is that. Its always been less government for me, more fiscal responsibility for you.

The US has a $36T national debt that will never be paid off. So fiscal conservatism is dead and buried. Period.

The state of Florida is one big communist state and we have a republican super majority.

Duhsantis also spends our tax dollars in ways against us. This CAN'T be conservatism.

It's a mitigating factor regarding the pregnancy.

If someone steals your car, is that any different than you loaning your car to someone?

You care deeply about the health of the mother.

You are totally unconcerned with the health of the unborn child.

In terms of whether I am allowed to shoot another person? No.

It 100% is conservativism, and calling it "communist" is silly (unless you mean a sort of reverse-communism for plutocrats in which they strip anything publicly owned of value), and besides that @docspor's line. :) Personally, I think the only bigger rubes than MAGA people in American politics are the people that believed in a sort of principled "intellectual" conservativism that had any sort of constituency beyond easily fooled liberals and monied college grads (the ven diagram is a near overlap there).

WTF are you talking about? Mitigating factor? You can't be serious.

Question is real simple here: Is it murder or not? If it IS murder, why should the means of conception matter?

Or are you saying it's not murder?

Because a lot of pregnancies end with miscarriages instead of babies :(

If we are discussing what should be legal or illegal, how the law defines things seems relevant.

Yeah no one says that. They don't say 'we have a baby'. They say 'we're going to have a baby', or 'we're expecting'. It's something that is going to happen in the future. And it's moot either way. It's up to the woman to decide what to call it. It's not up to you. If she wants to call it a baby, good for her. If she wants to call it a blob of cells that she wants removed from her body, that's up to her too.

Let me fix that for you using your own terminology. 'I think if a woman gets pregnant thru rape, murdering the baby should be an option.'

    OK, what's your point.

    Yes, abortion kills a baby.

Yes, I'm in favor of abortion being an option in limited situations.

My word was be 'kill' but, you could certainly make a case that 'murder' fits.

You are intentionally ending an innocent life.

As I've said before, I empathize with pro-lifers. You don't think the baby should be killed under any circumstances. I get it but I'm afraid that is impractical in the real world.

Going to need to investigate all of those too as there are other ways to terminate a pregnancy than going to the clinic. Oh, and that woman smoking while she's pregnant. . . and that one drinking a beer.

I'm sure our LEA's are totally jacked about this added burden put on their to-do list.

So, a wish sandwich? Nice. I'm sure we'll see that any time now.

Bro. It's going to have to pass legal muster. So, you know, try harder.
