**surprised to not see posted. Sorry if posted.

Not sure how i feel about this as I always say if someone is hurt or thinks they are a detriment to the game (usually because of injury, speak up).

Anthony did this the other day but it was because he was “very tired”. Never seen that. Colts sat him after that and Flacco is now the current starter because of it but the Colts said they have not given up on him and he will be back, probably next week or even this week I’m guessing Flacco will get a few series and try and wake up AR.

Lots of players around the league saying they lost some respect points for the move. Love the guy but cmon dude:

Very strange indeed! It was a big risk/reward type draft pick when the Colts grabbed him so high. Wish him well, but he's had a pretty rocky start to his NFL career.

Colts deserve this for making an incredibly overrated player the fifth player taken in the draft. He's got to be on the Mount Rushmore of QB busts with Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, and Akili Smith. There will be some that disagree because it's only his second season, but I never saw anything during his time at UF that made me think he was more than a marginal QB with incredible athleticism. That's not enough to be a high pick in the NFL draft.

I know we like Richardson because he was a Gator, but I just don’t see him being an NFL QB unless he changes his mindset. Pulling yourself out of a game is a terrible look for a QB, which is THE leadership position of a team. Wonder what is OL thinks about him after that move? Colts announced yesterday they are going with Flacco this week.

He had just run on three plays in a row. He would not have been a passing threat because you can’t do the three plays in a row and pass accurately. It used to really piss me off when NFL teams ran Tebow twice in the red zone and then called a pass and then said that play was evidence that he could not be accurate.

Flacco definitely getting more than a few series. AR going to be lucky to get back on the field in 2024.

He lost my respect when he was throwing out of bounds on 4th downs at UF. Did it at least 3 times, apparently to avoid INTs. I don't care what he does now.

He did it twice in the same game against f$u in Tally. smh. I just don’t believe his processor works fast enough to be a good QB.

Incredible talent. I won’t soon forget the “jump spin pass”. He’s in the pros now, he’ll make his own bed. And from the outside looking in, still has some things to learn.

I don't fault him for grabbing life changing money. I wish he had shown more mettle as a leader but he did what he did to secure a future for himself and his family.

The blame goes squarely on the colts. To this day he has something like 13 or 14 starts since highschool. Absolutely insane to think the NFL would be a place for him to cut his teeth. He didn't show elite decision making, leadership or durability. He has elite athleticism and that's what he was drafted on which is nuts at the qb position. I don't feel much either way about him as far as being a Gator goes. Still hope he figures it out but it doesn't look good at this point.

I am of the opinion that tua should retire and AR should play but I am not either of them. It’s their call not mine. However I would never sign AR to anything but a minimum contract with incentives out the wazoo for performance.

This is my position. When a running back runs the ball three straight downs for long gains and requests to get pulled because he is gassed, does that mean the RB is a quitter as well, or is he trying to do what is best for the team? What about a WR running three straight deep routes who then gets pulled out to rest?

He should have ignored the question or answered it differently, but if he had stayed in and thrown a pick due to having tired legs, he would have been jumped on for different reasons.

The Athletic has a great article with all the sides to it.

On one hand, the Colts had to know he wasn’t just a development prospect, but a project. They weren’t good before him. They are actually a game ahead of last year. Other teams like the Jets gave a lot more runway.

On the other hand, you lose the locker room if you don’t lower the boom. And in fact, you teach him the hard lesson he needs about growing up and putting in the work.

I don’t think he will ever be good. As RG3 was winning rookie of the year, Shanahan was trying to move on to Cousins, convinced Griffin was a flash in the pan. Instead, Snyder moved on from Shanahan then Cousins. And Washington then moved on from Griffin then Snyder.

But maybe he turns out like Darnold. Tossed out with the trash a couple of times, then blows up.

I haven't seen Lamar Jackson ask to come out because he's tired. As a qb there are plenty of plays that can be called that don't require him to run again. I don't buy your excuse and obviously neither do his coaches.

The depths people will sink to justify an action. 3 running plays in a row the horror. Hopefully there isnt something medically amiss that would lead to such poor conditioning during midseason. Otherwise, not much more to be said but repair the damaged look or tap out.

I know everything today is WAY worse than in the past, it is just that there is someone who is WAY worse, IMO, and more recent than your choices:

Trey Lance. SF drafted him third overall, after trading a BUNCH of picks with Miami. And that was a team with a QB "guru".

As everyone should know, AR's "brain fart" was ALL on Indy and not him. He is just reaping the rewards of their stupidity.

But fear not, Gator faithful who want one of us to be infamous in pro sports (and no, I am not talking about Hernandez), we ARE Number 1 in one sport:

The NBA and Kwame Brown. He almost single-handedly got the league to implement the One-and-Done rule. We ARE infamous. Thanks GM Michael Jordan!
