She may be from San Fran, but she's more Hillary (corporate) than Jerry Brown.

Tell me you didn't look at one of those videos without telling me you didn't look. Abortion is healthcare for women. Not only are the women dying, but so are their fetuses and in some cases, their ability to have future children.

We just don't learn from history. It's frustrating as hell to try and explain this shit.

I would argue that, for 90% of those who call themselves Pro Life, it's far more about spiking the football in the D/Pro Choice end zone than saving babies. If they didn't, then they'd focus their efforts on education and persuading people to make the "right choice" rather than use government to ban the choice altogether.

FWIW, the Pro Choice movement also seems to miss the fact that there are TWO CHOICES here and that both are completely valid and acceptable. I will say this. As a Pro-CHOICE voter all my life, IMO the chance for regrets is much higher on the abortion side. That's not political. That's just biology.

I think the best argument here - and one R's "should" understand if they aren't being total hypocrites - is that this is nobody's business but those directly involved in the decision. And if you think government holds the answer here, I point you to a little thing called Prohibition.

Okay. What percentage of abortions are third trimester? That is what you posted was third trimester. For your edification third trimester abortions are rare and most of those are medically necessary. I am done discussing this with you I think my iq drops ten points every time I read your nonsense there is a solution to that. Lol

They're not honest actors dude. Don't fall for the trap. They have like 4-5 different FOX/Tucker provided talking points and after that. . . nothing. They're just parrots. This is talking chit to FSU fans at a tailgate, not a position they've intellectually come to.

And liberals deny the rights of unborn humans.
Are we really going to make this an abortion thread.

The point is not to deny rights to women...even if that is what you feel it does, it isnt the goal. The goal is to eliminate what millions believe to be the extinguishing of human life.

So you just feel one persons rights supercede another. But that doesn't give you the market on such rights. Everyone believes a mothers "rights" end at some point during a pregnancy and the human baby's rights take over. We just differ on the timeline.

The pro-life movement is about removing choice. A pro-lifer can of course themselves vow to never have an abortion. Nobody needs a law to live their own ideals. They do need a law to force other people to live under their ideals. With abortion it’s especially not sustainable because most people do accept some abortion, very few in favor of “total bans” and huge numbers of the fundamentalists and loudest people are in fact, frauds. This takes us back to your original point about it being an issue more about consolidating political power and spiking the football. Rubes are useful in that way.

This is the crux of the matter. Do you want government to make these calls or the woman involved. I am a small government conservative who thinks this isn’t governments call. It’s a medical decision. The decision is the woman’s with the advice and consent of her medical provider.

But the alternative - jailing all involved with 1st Degree murder - is off the table too from an electoral perspective. This is the hypocrisy the Pro-Life movement has been juggling for decades until Trump USSC overturned Roe vs Wade.

    "Abortion is Murder!"

Well, is it? From a logical consistency perspective, I'd respect Pro Lifers more if this is what they were pushing for. But it's always these cynical half measures and comments like "Of course the woman wouldn't face jail time". How is that "of course" if you actually think abortion is murdering children?

This attempt at a consistent position is what's behind the IVF ban in Alabama. In a sense, I have to tip the cap for being intellectually consistent. Although it is also a political ball and chain.

This is why I default toward the following position: "It's not my business what my neighbor's daughter does in that situation."

Not to mention, you KNOW they'll make a mess of it. Again, Prohibition is the comp. It passed so quick that they never gave a thought to enforcement or things like whether beer and wine are included. And they were chasing their tails from that point forward.

    Everyone says baby. You included.

No one tells the devastated mother er um "fetus" carrier sorry that you just just miscarried your "fetus". You know, The one that has named her "fetus" and had felt the "fetus" kick and roll around and saw the heart beating. The one the empty "fetus" crib is waiting on in the newly decorated "fetus" nursery at home. The one that all the "fetus" showers have been for. And the one she created the "fetus" registry at Target and Macy's for.

Stop criticizing people for using the unanimously used term that we ALL use.(You included) when we talk about someone's soon to be special arrival.

    Everyone says "baby".

I will agree that we all use the term baby after the “quickening”. Which is a term from British Common Law which comes about 4 months into pregnancy.

I've long since been against the harsh terminology and punishment of women in such cases. If we believe this from a biblical perspective, even that gets dicey when looking at Hebrew scriptures.

I do think the medical Industrial complex should be held accountable though and "non profits" like PP that spend very tiny margins of their money to alternatives should be required to do more.

I don't think the solution to abortion is as much a legal one as it is a moral one. We simply cant get the toothpaste back in the tube legally, but this attempt to dehumanize babies is a moral issue that needs fixed.

Im not claiming answers, but the left denies it is even a problem and that I will never bow to.

I'm pretty sure that the fetus will never use a crib. Crib usage occurs after birth.

No. We use It right away. No one goes to the doctor gets exciting news and then tells their family and friends "Guess what everyone?!... We have a fetus!!!"
