Do you honestly believe that George Lopez, a Mexican American, making a joke about Mexicans stealing border wall materials is equivalent to the white comedian calling Puerto Rico and island of trash and making a watermelon joke in ref to a black man in the audience?

I was making fun of the tweet that was referenced in an earlier post. The Tweeter added up all of the followers of the various entertainers to be 676 million, and seemed to imply that that number of voters could be influenced by these entertainers. I was merely pointing out the impossibility of that.

 

Not my math. It was in the tweet. Apparently, this Victor Shi tweeter did not understand this.

That post was merely pointing out the huge # of followers each has. Not that it represented a 1:1 ratio of voters. Which should have been obvious considering Grande on her own actually has more followers than the entire U.S. population (and far more than the voting population).

Yes, I get all that! I did not misunderstand, but I think the tweeter doesn’t understand. If he understood that there is tremendous overlap among the entertainers’ followers, why add them all up, write it in capital letters, and declare it’s a huge, massive number?

Trump apparently heard that he needed to rally in this race to come from behind and have a chance to win it, but in his senility, heard that he needed a "racist rally".
