Enjoy supporting a marxist fascist traitor. I'd gladly support a felon before I ever support a marxist, fascist or communist.

We are a nation of laws. You said so yourself. And legally, overstaying a visa or entering the country without permission and not declaring asylum is a misdemeanor. One on the same level of speeding, j-walking, and petty theft for the most part.

To the parents, I'd say sorry for your loss. Tragedies happen. But we shouldn't judge 11 million people based on the actions of a small fraction. Especially when these people play an integral role in our economy. I asked, what's your plan to replace their labor before. I'm asking again.

While no system is perfect, our immigration system has been broken for decades. We need their labor. Why don't we have a system similar to Canada which allows supply of immigrant labor to legally meet demand? And in doing so, we can vet/background check them all and weed out those with a criminal record.

Not perfect, but better than what we're currently doing. And maybe, had we enacted this plan when a bipartisan committee recommended it in 2007, or the Gang of 8 back in 2013, there would have been less citizens killed by immigrants?

Right, that’s why it’s classified as a (checking notes) misdemeanor or civil offense
I’m sure China will be happy to help them out, establish some industry there and gain a solid foothold in the Americas

Nothing beats the heavy oppression of a reactionary government.

And if they refuse landing rights to those planes?

Oh, goodie. Another war. This time in the Americas. And speaking of invading a country’s sovereign space - - but with the military. You may need to give this more than your usual deep and thorough analysis

And if they shoot back and down a US plane?

Yep. Said it here before. Populism never ends well.

    What has @gator_jo done now?

Is your mom still in mourning?

Yes, many are guilty of being here illegally and should be treated as law breakers. But, the vast majority are NOT the murderers, rapists and insane asylum inmates described by your LYING POS POTUS. Is that simple enough for you?

By the way, Trump has made migrants his scapegoats for everything bad in this country, just like the Nazis did to the Jews and others, even using the same dehumanizing language about them being "animals who infest" and "poison the blood" of our country.

    Open your eyes.

"If U.S. citizens commit crimes, they will face justice." Is Donald Trump a U.S. citizen who should face justice for his crimes?

When you use these terms interchangeably, like Trump, we know you don't know what you're talking about.

With Trumpers, it's always about hate, anger and retribution.

The 60 minutes piece last night and interview with Homan was… well, a head scratcher. “Targeted arrests” and Miller’s large scale raids and airlifts… hard to follow.

Most likely concentration camps for the immigrants; sanctions, embargos and bombs for the uncooperative countries.

    Trump is a damned fool.

Yep. Also mentioned were the Billon$ of dollars it will take to round up and deport 1 million immigrants/year.

Going to give the leader of the capture team some credit. They stopped a van in the pre-dawn to arrest the immigrant with a criminal record but left the undocumented driver alone as he did not pose a threat in his view. The lead guy also stated there was no way they could round up all the undocumented migrants in the country as it would cost too much and take too long. The one guy they got took a lot of effort to find, some surveillance and a team of , it looked like, 6 or so federal employees.

He's never pulling off the first part. And he's such a fraud, I doubt he'll even try.

Only liberals ask questions or dare to think for themselves. Which is why MAGA sees this as heresy.

I suspect Homan is more practical. He might marginally increase the deportations. Miller on the other hand is a bridge too far. Homan is actually out of step with what Trump says.

It took a team of a dozen officers 7 hours to round up 6 wanted illegal immigrants. Does not include the surveillance hours searching for them. So a minimum of 14 man hours per illegal immigrant.

It costs $150 per night to detain people. Average stay while they await deportation is 46 days.

A deportation flight costs $250k, if the country accepts them.

Welp, not to burst your (silly) bubble, but most are coming from Venezuela and we already have massive sanctions on them. So, what now? Invasion? Nukes?
