@GatorJMDZ I'm puzzled by your rating of my post #191. I am pleasantly surprised that you have enough Bible knowledge to give such a rating. I can certainly see room for some disagreement with my arguments but I think that there is enough scriptural basis for what I said that a "come on man" seems unwarranted. By all means, though, I'd be interested in reading your thoughts along with whatever scriptural citations you have to back them up.

That statement can be misleading, depending on what she does with the Trump tax cuts. BTW, I’m not implying that you are trying to be misleading. If Harris allows the cuts to expire, then the standard deduction will be reduced. Reducing the standard deduction increases the taxable income. So even with the same tax rates, the taxpayers will pay more than they otherwise would pay under the Trump tax cuts. It was mentioned on TH recently that 90% of tax returns use the standard deduction. The Trump cuts also included a qualified business income (QBI) deduction that allows many owners of sole proprietorships, partnerships, and S corporations to deduct up to 20 percent of their QBI. Doing away with that will increase the taxable income on self-employed people and therefore the income tax owed, even if the tax rates stay the same.

So, I vote Republican in Florida (Alachua County) since most of the liberals in that state have been horrible. Trump is by far the best candidate we have to get our country back and yes; I think anybody who votes for Kamilla over Trump are just as dumb as she is. I agree with you, but I also have a possibly different take. I always wonder how people who can achieve such a reasonably good level of professional success and financial security can be so stupid believe such incomprehensibly stupid bull***t. Specifically - most of the Trumpies on this board seem financially secure and/or professionally ....fine, or better. And yet they are not just tolerating, but are voting for....a guy who publicly tells them that kids go off to public schools and return home the victim of sex-altering surgeries!! How can an educated adult tolerate that!! And as a side note; how can some of these people be so clearly ignorant.... yet able to achieve financial security..... and still moan and whine along with Trump about how bad everything is?! Seems like they should be saying "Holy ****, someone like me who knows next to nothing, outside of their job, can actually have almost anything they want in America!" Fascinating times.
Part of it is some people are just voting the way their parents did. It’s a my team right or wrong type of thing. The other part is this is a semi anonymous website. All we know of people is what they tell us. I honestly think if a politician tells you they are a fascist you should believe them. I think I have more skepticism of message board posters.
