Why do News Papers think it's a good idea to andorse one of another political candidate in the first place. I never got that...
Don’t give him too much credit 51. He will most likely top himself before you finish you first coffee in the morning.
Although it was intended as satire intended to ridicule the press, the irony is that the meme was accurate. Trump's performance at the closed McDonald's was a staged photo op so that his willfully ignorant supporters could claim that he worked at McDonald's for 15 minutes more than Harris.
editor retired rather than support the decision. obviously this was all about the owner personal agenda. what is it with the south africans billionaires and their support for djt? Terry Tang, Editor of the Los Angeles Times Editorial Page, Resigns After Owner Blocks Presidential Endorsement Terry Tang, editor of the Los Angeles Times editorial page, has resigned after owner Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong blocked the paper from endorsing a presidential candidate. On October 22 Semafor media editor Max Tani first reported the news that Soon-Shiong, a billionaire South African-American businessman who invented the pancreatic cancer drug Abraxane, forbade its editorial board from penning an endorsement
I disagree with this characterization. While there is bickering by our partisan warriors, the most contention is along the axes of information/misinformation and sophistry/honesty. At this juncture, it is understandable to misinterpret these axes for political affiliation (e.g. 'sides').
Then the better alternative for you would be to leave the forum. BTW, making fun of almost every post is a form of "shitting on" members and "ignoring the process", whatever that means.
They know about her past and don't want their names attached to her for an already struggling business.
Obviously somebody doesn't want to tie the LA Times to a sinking ship. This election will be called on election night or perhaps a day earlier. Robert Barnes and Rich Baris called it a year ago.
^^^note--Trump's campaign staff pre-selectrd customers for a staged event... ...sKamal's pre-selects interviewers and their questions (and still manages to face plant...). Btw--it's not that Trump worked for 15 mins at Mickey D's--it's that those 15 mins, however scripted, is 15 mins more than sKamala ever worked there, despite her claiming to have.
It's now looking like the WaPo won't endorse anyone either as their owner Bezos fears for the future of Amazon's government contracts if Trump wins.
Force of habit, IMO. It's just one of those thing's they've been doing forever and they can't imagine a different way. I.E. They think people still pay attention to this stuff.
It's no secret that 99% of newspapers are going to endorse a democrat candidate. The more interesting part is when they endorse someone during the Primary elections. That is when you are going to find out what the people in charge of the paper think. Like the difference between endorsing a Bernie Sanders vs. Biden. After the primary they will endorse whichever democrat candidate is running for POTUS.
