I'd probably be willing to pull the lever for Harris if she committed to 1, 3, and 6. I've previously said that if I could be assured that Alito and Thomas will be alive and on the Court in Jan '29 and Republican control the Senate, I would probably be OK with voting for Harris.

The difference is Ds are more willing to self immolate on principle and do something like vote for Jill Stein. You actually have Muslims in MI who may vote for Trump - the Muslim ban - Pro Israel guy, in order to punish Kamala for Biden’s equivocated support for Israel.

Yes, agreed, and I am lumping them in under the same “D” category.

When your platform is so bad/wishy washy that you will likely lose to Donald Trump TWICE, perhaps you should try something different.

The flammable religious nuts can vote for someone who makes up stories about their evil nature and be replaced with people who just want a little sanity, IMO.

Harris didn’t even have to do all the nuttiness to win the primaries. She had a golden opportunity to actually tell the babies that mama’s home, clean your room or move out. Instead she’s running like she’s trying to win primary votes in a state she’ll lose by 20 points once the game starts.

Just one question. Since you oppose amnesty for undocumented migrants do you approve of Stephen Miller's proposal to withdraw protected status from"Dreamers" technically undocumented immigrants who entered the US as children and are technically undocumented? They have spent most of their lives in the US, are in no way complicit in their status and speak English more fluently than the language (usually Spanish) of the country in which they were born.

I read that as 1st and 2nd trimester abortions were only allowed in case of health of mother/rape. If so, that is not her stance.

I cannot see many of them voting for Trump although there is the very real possibility that they could vote for Stein or just stay home, still not good news for Harris but not quite as bad a vote for a Trump.

yeah but if they end up not voting at all isn't that a win for harris? I mean she doesn't really need their vote in reality and that would be less votes for trump right?

I had the polar opposite reaction. I used to lean right when I voted, but I am so concerned about Trump, I leveraged the crap out of my vote, held my nose and went Dem straight down the ballot. Any road block to his otherwise unchecked power and actions.

This is not about what I believe. It is a out what policy concessions yoy are willing to make. Just hit the high points without getting into minute details.

It’s a half vite and not a full vote. In a very close election, getting full votes might make a difference.

I wouldn't make any concessions on immigration that at least didn't include amnesty for Dreamers. I have no problem with rationally increasing security along the border including an enhanced physical barrier although the real solution is comprehensive immigration reform including the hiring of more Border Patrol agents, utilizing technology including sensors and drones, hiring more immigration judges so that claims of asylum could be adjudicated much more rapidly, and an expanded guest worker program which would benefit both immigrants motivated by economics as well as employers who need their labor.

Let's assume that they retain their protected status but do not have a pathway to citizenship for the next 4 years.

The simplest short-term solution to the immigration problem is to change the laws on amnesty. People coming over the border utter the word, and our doors flow open while they run through the drawn out process of determination the legitimacy of the claim. It is bat-poop crazy as it stands.

There are only a few key issues in this election: democracy, the constitution, and law and order. If you believe in even one of these issues then you will vote for Harris

Pretty wild you need a 6-3 GOP court lean to feel safe voting for a Democrat. It’s not healthy having a court that’s hard right or hard left. It doesn’t represent the will or morals of the people.

The way to stop illegals is to criminally prosecute anyone who hires one. Jail time for the boat massive fines for the stockholders.
