    This has been enough to lose your tax exempt status since 1954 when Congress approved an amendment by Sen. Lyndon Johnson to prohibit 501(c)(3) organizations, which includes charities and churches, from engaging in any political campaign activity.

    Rural people seem to have their heads screwed on much straighter than urban folks. San Francisco is a very rich part of the country. Look what Democrats have done to it.

    I don’t like Trump, but this is not evidence of a cult. Even thinking him to be a chosen vessel is not cultish. This is common language used in churches all the time. And what they pray over him is the blessing from the Book of Numbers. Pastors will often end the service with this blessing over the congregation.

    Numbers 6:22–26 (ESV):
    22 The Lord spoke to Moses, saying, 23 “Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the people of Israel: you shall say to them,

    24 The Lord bless you and keep you;

    25 the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you;

    26 the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.”

    They pray for him to not get convicted of his crimes. For him to be successful in his adulteries, and to not go to jail for his rapes.

    Recognize a couple “prosperity gospel” types.

    I’d wonder if some of these people even believe in god, or if it’s all performative? Either way, they’d better hope it’s all mythology or they probably won’t much like how they are judged.

    Just because it seems normal to you in a church still doesn't make it not a cult.

    Putting hands on Donald Trump and calling him a vessel is indeed a cult. You're kidding right?
