The whole defense was on fire all game long... different in a very good way. I also loved seeing the interceptions come back in vogue... Lol. It's been a while since I've seen that kind of effort by our DBs. And it's not just the skill, but the skilled depth that the defense has from which to choose... It seems like I heard more player's names mentioned, as making plays on the defensive side of the ball, than we had actual starters (11) on the defense... That's one very important aspect to this team... quality depth is a must in the SEC, and we seem to have acquired some of that lately. This team is just starting to gel, and it's going to be very interesting to see if they can earn some surprise wins in this coming gauntlet of a schedule. I feel good about our chances with FSU, but we need to win at least one of the UGA, Texas, LSU and/or Ole miss games. Can we take one or more of those four games? Forget the transitive property, but I do feel good about how well this new and improved Gator football team will compete in these tough upcoming games, when comparing each team's wins and loses this season.
Nicely articulated, Rick! Yeah, after watching the Tenn game, and this Kentucky win it just feels different. It makes you think anything is possible. Then when you examine the parity across the land, something has to give. I'm actually excited for the Georgia game. Their QB is tossing picks frequently. While Kirby is the best and their team is powerful, they've slipped a notch or two. How strong was Texas? How about the way Georgia fared against Kentucky? Based on 'probabilities', we are in for some challenges. With this teams unity and determinism, the 'possibilities' are quite exciting to ponder... We have some guys stepping up. The team is stepping up! Big time! Go Gators.
