There is a reason that the military refers to these things as a "Dog and Pony show." There are typically at least one rehearsal ahead of a VIP's arrival. Again, the USSS is going to screen every person at that homeless shelter. They are going to make sure they are unarmed and do not pose a threat to the POTUS. Once the POTUS is in the shelter, they are probably not letting any additional people in the door. The difference with the McDonalds, is that Trump was working the drive through line. That makes things more challenging for the USSS. The USSS would have to know who was in line and have screened them and their vehicles before they got to order. There is no way the USSS is going to let random people in vehicles, that can contain firearms or explosives, get that close to a POTUS. They probably said the only way to do the photo op, was to close the store.
Regardless he handled the fry station like a moron. They should have started him on something simpler... like cleaning the shitter.
You are mostly repeating yourself and arguing points I never made. Obviously the drive thru is a security issue. But then why “fake” it with staged customers? Why do stupid faked shit like that at all? The irony is this is the group that whines about false stories of staging and crisis actors even in real tragedies. Project much? At least the employees inside, at least the fry station kid, seemed real this time (unlike some prior Trump events). Even though people made fun of Trumps lack of following instructions, I actually think that alone is a good photo op. No need to do the faked performance.
All that hard work took its toll on the old guy: After landing in Philadelphia Sunday afternoon, Trump stopped at a suburban McDonald’s to engage in a highly choreographed stint at the fry station. Then Trump backed out of an interview with the Black-oriented media outlet The Shade Room because he’s suffering from exhaustion. Harris Dunks On Trump For Being Too ‘Exhausted’ For Interviews "If you are exhausted on the campaign trail, it raises real questions about whether you are fit for the toughest job in the world,” the vice president said. I'm responding to the points you did make. Why the McDonalds had to close versus a food shelter staying open. Do not really feel the need to defend Trump's decision to do this. If you want to have that discussion, go bother someone else about it.
Did Trump bypass cleanup and lettuce washing before moving up to fries? If he stays at it, in 2 years he’ll be assistant manager….
I’m not sure anyone is actually “complaining.” Mocking? Sure, but complaining? We have better things to point to.
Senile old man celebrating his french fry pin as he stands in front of people's destroyed homes for his photo op.
